the 1lliyor presiding.
The minutes of the preceding Meeting were read and approved.
The Waterworks Committee presented the following report for later considerat
ion."In order to guard against shutting off such large areas of the town when mak-
ing repalilrs or installatiatj.s it is thought advisable to place at least three new
shutoffs i.n the mains; one at Catherine and Yonge; one on Wellington s t; and one at
£Xosley and Victoria;at a cost of approximately :lii2::;5.00.
The four inch extension.passed last year,from Maple northerly on Spruce to
connect with the two inch main on Iviark Ave,is a distance of approximately seven
hundred feet,and the estimated cost· is seven hundred dollara.
The next most pressing extension is Kennedy st;eeet,west from Te:m.perance,.We
have a four inch main that far,and to extend it to a point slightly west of the
residence of Prof.Greaves,would be a distance of eleven hundred feet,and the est-
imated cost,including a hydrant at the westerly end,would be j~II50.00.
Whenever time and money are available we would. reconm1end that the next exten-
sian should be east on Maple from Spruce to Fleury,a. four inch main a distance of
three hundred and forty feet at a cost of about $325.00.
