THE FOURTEENTH :M:JJ:E:TING OF THE COUNCIL FOR THE YEAR. 192.9 was held in
the Council Chamber on Monday evening Dec.2nd.at 8~¢l•Clo.ck,with the Mayor occupying
the Chair and all the Members in attendance.
The Mihutes of the preceding Meeting were read and approved.
Communications were received and read from the following sources;The Auror
Horse Show,asking for a grant for their Association;The Dept.of Highways,regarding
payment for a section of Y.onge Street pavement~plans and specifications from various
firms concerning rink construction;
MDRRAY,KNO~LES,that the action of the Mayor in issuing orders on the
Treasurer far the payment of the fallowing bills be and the same is hereby confirmed
and that the seal of the Corporation be attached hereto;

Bilbrough SOUTHWOOD,That the Mayor and Treasurarr be authorised and instructed
to issue checks on the E.Light and w.w. Depts.respectively,for the sums of $7IO.OO
and 869.80, to repay the town a reasonable proportion of the sala.ries of the Foreman
Treasurer and Clerk,in accordance with the custom of previous years,and that the
seal of the Corporation be attached hereto. Carried.
BILBROUGR,u~qiLL,that a grant of fifty dollars be made to the Aurora Horse
and Pure Bred Stock Assn.in accordance with our custom in dealing with similar
organizations,and that the seal of the Corporation be attached to this resolution
Carried.
JBfiiiLDING,MURRAY,that the Mechanics Hall be let to the Badminton Clubs of Aurora
at the rate of one dollar and fifty cents each,or three dollars for an afternoon
and evening from the twa clubs. Carried.
A BYLAW was introduced by Mr.Bilbraugh,gi:l:ren its first,secand and third readings
in regular and legal form and finally signed and sealed,providing for the Nomination
of Mayor,Reeve,Deputy Reeve,five Cauncillors and three Public School Trustees,in
the Mechanics Haltl on Monday Eve.Dec.30th.at 7.30 P.M.and naming places ·for the
taking the vote as well as Deputy Returning Officers and Poll Clerks ,in case a vote
is req_uired.
A Bylaw was introduced by Dr.Underhill,given its first,second and third readings
in regular an:d legal form t& provide for taking a vote of the q_ualified Ratepayers
at the Municipal Election on ~an.6th.I930,upon a Bylaw to provide for the
ion of an Agricultural Arena,and was finally signed and sealed.

A Bylaw was introduced by Dr.Underhill to provide for the construction of an
Agricultural Arena,preferably in the Town Park,at a cost not to exceed $15000.00
and to make provision for an issue of fifteen year,five per cent debentures to pay
for the same.
Bylaw was read a first time by the Clerk.
BILBROUGR,MURRAy,that the Bylaw now before the Council be read a second time
day,and that rule 33 of Bylaw #IO be suspended for that purpose. Carried.
