the Council Chamber on Mono.a.y Evening October 1s.t.at a.o•c1ock with all the
lviembers in attendance and the Mayor in the chair.
The Minutes of the last l\l:eeting were read and adopted.
Colll!llunications were receiced from the following sourcws;
J .W.Readman.quarterly report iihowing thirty farm visits ,fifty one
butter fat tests.sixty sedime!lt tests and one hundred dairy visits.
Petition from F.A..Eoyntan and six others asking for a fire hydrant at
the south end of the Town.
Applications for water service from Mrs.C.ox.Ivi.BadgerlOA.A.Cook,G.D.Lea.

The Waterworks C.olllillittee submitted a report in two sections,of which
• the second was laid on the table :for further information,and the first read
as follows; "We recommend that a main of one and one half inch diameter be
laid from the end of our mains on Yonge st.North,up old Yonge st.,to supply
those prospective customers,abutting on that lane,provided that the Council
of Whitchurch grant us leave,and that the proposed customers en:her intli agre
ements and. give suitable bonds ,to yield the Town at least ten per cent on
the investment for a period of at least ten yeara.•t
Messrs.Southwood,Thomp:s:on a.nd carried tha.t the action of the Mayor in
issui1~ orders on the Treasurer for the payment of the following sums be,and
the same i~ hereby confirmed and that the seal of the Corporation be attac-
heel to this resolution;

cock and others on the sam.e main to be laid on old yonge street, in the Tp.
of Whitchurch,at an estimated cost of $IIOO.OObe entertained,in accordance
with the report. of the Waterworks Connnittee,~::md that it be granted when they
ha_ve signed. the agreement to be drawn up by our Solicitor,and have provided
a Bond_ to pay to this Corporation the. &llount of ten per cent upon the invest

completion of the. said. agreements.
