MEETING NOV .29TH..I.92.7 The twenty fourth Meeting of the Council for the Year 192.7 was held in the Council Chamber on Tuesday EJTe.Nav.29th. at a.P.M:.The Mayor occupied th~ ahair and the Members in attendance were the Reeve~.Deputy Reeve.and Counci- llors Raulding,Knawles,Sauthwood and Taylor. The Minutes of the: last meeting were read a.nd approved. Representatives from the fire brigade appeared to request. the purchase o·f additional equipment. C:ammuniaations were received and read as follows; Mra.P.Phillips,asking rebate an water service, K.Thompsan and L.Pilso.n,asking exemption from poll tax; T".T.C::.g;JZanting re:lease from payment of annual rental for interc-hange switch on certain conditions; .r.c .• Dadson"co:m;plaining of e:ncroaciun:ents on his property; M:.Forsyth.respeating the counter in the market hall; Women•a Institute,seeking exemption from rental for Mechanics Hall; H:.E.P.Co.stating their intention to proceed with transformer station as soon as the equipment is availahle> .r.Fleurys Sons,.co:m;plaining of the condition of the crossing on Well.st; Fred lfale,seeking refund water rates and remission of dog tax. Moved by Mr.Taylar seconded. by Mr,Case a.nd carried that. Mrs.P.Phillips be refunded. one dollar for lawn service ,unused~and. that the seal of the Co rporatian be a.tta.ahed. hereto. ]foved. by Mr.Knawles,secand.ed by Mr.Taylor and. carried. t.hait Erle Thomp- son be releived. from the payment of pall tax,being under age when assessed.. Moved by Mr,Taylar,secand.ed by Mr.Knowles a.nd carried that. this Council pay M.Forsyth the sum of fifteen dollars far the counter in use in the Mar- ket and that the seal of the Corporation be attached hereto. MOved by Mr.Knowles secandee by Mr.Taylor and carried that the Aurora Br anah of the Wol!lens Iilstitute be allowed the use of the Meah.Hall free <!f ch arge upon the night of Nav.30th.for the purpose of holding a. concert to rai se funds for the Aurora Womens Institute Roam ttin the York County Hospital.
