FOR 1926.
The fourteenth meeting of the Council was held in the Council Ch3.mber
on Monday evening October 4th.
The following members being present n3.mely :-Mayor Walton, Reeve Legge
and Councillors Andrews, Bilbrough, Knowles, Taylor and Thompson.·
The minutes of the two previous meetings were read and confirmed.
Moved by Mr Andrews seconded by Mr Legge that the following accounts
be p9.1id and that the Mayor issue orders on the Treasurer for the· same and
that the seal of the Corporation be attached to this resolution, Namely.:-
Canadian General Electric Co, (switches E. L. Dept)
Hydro-Electric Power Commission (power for August)
Charles Cook (te3.ming roads)
Clerk (stamps· Town)
The Aurora Hardware Co. (sundries Town)
B. F. Davis (carting Town)
J. w. Headman (Inspectors testing equipment for milk)

Moved by Mr Andrews seconded by Mr Taylor that J. D. Headman be and he
is hereby appointed Inspector of milk and milking premises for and on
behalf of the Council of the Corporation of Aurora, Renumeration to be at
current rates for time spent; and that the seal of the Corporation be
attached to. this resolution. Carried.
Moved by Mr Taylor secondecl, by Mr Legge· that the solicitor be instru-
cted to prepare a. By-law to provide for the licensing of all Dlilk· dis.;. r i!
tributors and owners in Town • Carried. ..
Moved by Mr Bilbrough seconded by Mr Thompson that the Waterworks Dept,

the salary of Town· Foreman. And that the Electric Light Department be
charged each year with a sum equal to Forty per cent of the salaries of
the Clerk and Treasurer, and that the seal of the Corporation be aff~xed
hereto. Carried.
Moved by Mr Knowles seconded by Mr Bilbrough that His Worship the
Mayor be empowered to sign and execute the application for the Public
Liability and Property Dainsge Policy of the Globe Indemi ty CompaliY of
Canada relieving the Town of Aurora of one hundred per-cent of its lia-
bility to the public on its Highways, alld Bridges Streets, ways, Parll:s .alld
\lunioipal pll'3grounds for the term of one year to the limits of:-
$5000 in case of injury or death of any ·one person the result of allY one
accident.
$10000 in case of injury or death to more than one person the result of
allY one accident.
$1,000 covering allY damage caused to· property of the Public the result of
any one accident. {e. g. ) all vehicular traffic.

Leave was asked to introduce a Bylaw to assess for County, School alld
other purposes.
Leave granted and By-law read a first time.
Moved by Mr Bilbrough seconded by Mr Knowles that the By-law now before
the Council be read a second alld third time this day alld that Rule 33 of
By ... law No 10 be suspended for that purpose. Carried.
By-law read a second time and Council went into committee of the whole
Mr Thompsorl in tile olaair. Committee rose and reported By-law with blal1ks
filled $16, 37 5. 23 for Town purposes, and $9, 260,75 for County purposes,
$25,664. 56 for School purposes snd $e, 47 4. 07 for the payment of Debentures
council then adjourned to meet at the call of t~ Mayor.
