The tenth meeting of the Council. for the year was held in the Cou-
ncil Chamber on Thursday evening July 29tla.
The tc.llowing members being present namely:-Mayor Walton, Reeve Legge
and Counci11ors Andrews, Bilbrough, Know1es, Taylor and Thompson.
The minutes of. the previous meeting read and confirmed.
Communications were received and read from the following persons

Moved by Mr Andrews seconded by Mr Legge that the folJ.owing accounts
be paid and "\'hat t'le Mayor is·sue orders on the Treasurer for the same
and th.at the seal of the Corporation be attached to this

Moved by Mr Ar1drews seconded by Mr Legge that the action of the Mayor
in issueing orders on the Treasurer for the payment of the following
bills be and the same is hereby confirmed and that the seal. of the

Moved by Mr Andrews seconded by Mr Bilbrough that the Clerk be in-
structed to notify all owners of vacent lots upon whj.ch noxious weeds
are left growing that if weeds are not cut within one week of uotifi-
cation, the Town eJilployees will enter upon land and cut the weeds and
charge the cost against the said lots.
Carried.
Moved by Mr Legf?;e seconded by Mr Andrews that the salary of the Town
Engineer Mr A. Langman be increased from 25. 00 to 30.00 per week said
increase to take effect July 4th 1926 and the seal of the Corporation
be attached to this resolution. Carried.
Moved by Mr Taylor seconded by Mr Bolbrough that the road at1d bridge
committee be and is hereby instructed to put fi4teen load of gravel on
Ross Street providing Mr c. H. Sheppard put a like amount on same road
and that the seal of the Corporation be attached to this resolution.
Carried.
Moved by Mr Taylor seconded by Mr Andrews that the Property Committee
be instructed to proceed with plans and specifications consistent with
the sketch proposed and submitted by H. Hulme and to ask: for tenders
for the needed repairs to the Mechanics Hall, and to report to the
Council. Carried.
Leave was ask:e'd to introduce a By-law to authorise the Canadian Nat-
ional Railway and Aurora Flour and Feed M .. lls, Limited to cross Centre
Street in the Town of Aurora with the right of way and Railway tracks.
Leave granted and By-law reai a .first time.
Moved by Mr Taylor seconded by Mr Thompson that the By-law now before
the Council be read a second and third t;ime this day and that Rule 33
of By-law No 10 be suspended for that purpose. Carried.
