The ninth meeting of the Council for· the year was held in the
Council Chamber on Monday evening July . 5th.
The following Members being pres~nt Namely:-Mayor Walton, Reeve Legge,
Deputy Reeve Hancock and Councillors Andrews, Bilbrough, Knowles and
Taylor.
The minutes of the previous meeting read and confirmed.
Mr Bushell and Mingay presented a petition signed by Mr W. S. Mingay
and thirty seven other ratepayers asking that George Street be extended
from the present southerly limit to Kennedy Street, the deputation also
asked to ·have a Fire Hydrant and Fire Alarm on Kennedy Street.
The Treas'l!rer presented a report of the receipts and expenditures for
1924,1925 & 1926 up to Jul:ie 30th. Mr R. w. Phillips County Clerk re levy
~f $926@. 75 for County Taxes for 1926.
Moved by Mr Andrews se.conded by Mr Hancock that the following accounts
be paid a.tld that the Mayor issue orders on the Treasurer for the same

2i-inch Gum .arid Wax treated Keystone Brar1d Hose as sold by the Dom-
inion Rubber Company be p:urchased @ $1.70 per foot, also one Hose
Pipe ar1d two Chemical Fire EKtingushers of 21-galeons capacity and
the seal of tl'e Corporation be attached to this resolution.
