COUNCIL
The eifgth meeting of the Council for the year was 'held in the
Council Chamber on Wednesday evening June 23rd.
The following members being present Mayor Wal. ton, Reeve Legge,
Deputy Reeve Hancock and Councillors Andrews, Bilbrough, Knowles
and Taylor.
The minutes of the previous meeting read and confirmed.
The Chief, Captain and Secretary of the Aurora Fire Department
was heard in reference to some new eqipment f.or the Department.
Communications were received and read from the following persons.
Mr J. A. Mitchell asking to have money refunded for dog tag as dog
had been killed. Mr w. S. Mingay re sid~ walk on Kermedy Street.
Mr George Cosford asking for permissidn to erect another gas pump

oil Yonge Street in front of his Vulcanizing Station.
Moved'·.by Mr Andrews seconded by Mr Legge that the following accounts ' .
be paid ill;1d that the Mayor issue orders on the Treasurer for the same
and that the. sael of the Corporation be attached to this resolution.

entered into with Fred Foster for the sinking of another three inch
well on the Billing lot and that a catch basin be built by our own
employees to accomidate lll.l the well flow before it enters the main.

mendation of the Fire Department the Corporation buy for use One
extension ladder to foot reinforced wire, 300 feet of Hose, two chemical
Fire Extingushers and one Nozzel. Carried.
Moved by Mr Hancock seconded by Mr Taylor that the application of
George Cosford for a gasolene pump on curb be granted on usulll. terms
and condi tiona. Carried.·
Moved by Mr Legge seconded by Mr h1drews that the Clerk be instruc-
ed to write the Hydor-Electric Power Commission in regard to the dust
on Yonge Street on that part occupied by the Street R;cilway, if not

Moved by Mr Andrews seconded by. Mr Hancock That the By-~aw committee
be instructed to introduce a :By-~aw at the next meeting of the Coun-
ci~ to contra~ and govern the qu~ity of mi~k so~d and distributed in
Town. C arried.
