SEVENTH MEETTl'fG 0 F T H E C 0 U N C I L F 0 R 1 9 2 6. The seventh meeting of the Council for the year was held in the Council Chamber on Honday evening June 7th. The following members being present namely:-l'fJayor 'iTal ton, Reeve Legge, Deputy Reeve Hancoclc and Councillors Andrews, Bil brough, f,Uowles and Thompson~ The minutes of the previous meeting read and confirmed. ll'tr C. '7. Mulloy and 1Ir N. G. Secord was heard in reference to a rebate on taxes and Power for the Aurora Match Company. Moved by Ivlr Andrews seconded by Hr Knowles that the following accounts be paid and that the Mayor issue orders on the Treasurer for the same and that the seal of the Corporation be attached to this resoluti6n. Uoved by l1r Legge seconded by }.J:r Bilbrough that the Town Electrician be authorised to :provide for and equip a meter testing room according to the requirements and regulations of the Goverment Inspector under the direction of the Electric Light Committee. Carried. J'Koved by Vtr Hancock seconded by ldr Yillowles that a silent :policeman be :placed at the corner of Centre Street and Dr Williams corner for the safty of the Public and that a number of others be made and that the road & brid- ge committee be instructed to :place the saJne at its earliest convenience and that the seal of the Corporation be attached to this resolution, Carried • . Court of Revision for the Town of Aurora was held in the Councl Chamber on JJionday evening June 7th. The following members being present namely:- JJlayor 'Hal ton Reeve Legge Deputy Reeve Hancock and Councillors Andrews and Knowles. The Following appeal was heard. Daniel 'Nilliamson appealed against the assessment of Williamson B Brothers on the Canadian l~ational Railway property. Appeal not s .. stained. Hoved by Mr Andrews secon?ed b;·. ]J!r Legge that the Assessment Roll be received and the assessment confirmed and that the seo.l of the Corp- oration be attached to this resolution. Carried.
