S E C 0 N D M E E T I N G 0 F T H E C 0 U N C I L
F 0 R 1 9 2 6.
The second meeting of the Council for the year was held in the
Council Chamber on Monday evening February J.st.
The following members being present namely:-Mayor Walton, Reeve
Legge, Deputy Reeve Hancock and Councillors Andrews, Bilbrough, Knowles
and Taylor.
The minutes of the previous meeting read and confirmed.
Communications were received 3lld read from the following persons
namely:-Mr F. C. Clark asking if the Town is interested in securillg new

Moved by Mr Bilbrough seconded by Mr Taylor that the Road Forman be
instructed to see th:d; all walks are properly cleaned and when Occupant
fail to do same that he have snow removed at the eKpense of the said
Occupallt or Owner. Carried.
Moved by Mr HallCock seconded by Mr Andrews that this Couucil protest
ag:dnst any increased rates for service as applied for by the Bell Tel-
ephone Comp3.ny. We instruct our Solicitor to appear at allY meeting re-
presenting the Municipality for this purpose alld the Clerk to notify
our representive in the House of Commons to oppose such applica.tion.

Report of the Electric Light Committee.
We recommend that one 15 K. V •. fl. Trallsformer be purchased approKimate
cost $1e?. 00 to be used to replace old 10 K. W, Transformer on Tyler St-
reet which should now be t:tken in; while the old 10 K. W. Tnnsformer be
used to replace the burnt out Tr.allsformer in booster; that if necessary
other smali eqiipment be purchased alld that the booster be placed in
oper3.tion at as early date as the work Call be accomplished.

Moved by Mr Taylor seconded by Mr Legge that a. survey and inspection
of all water services installed be made forthwith and a. report made
giving the Council full inform3.tion on all approved form (copy :~.ttached
to this resolution) The report of each user to show No of' rooms, No of
occupallts, No pf Taps in sink, Toilet, Baths, B3.sins, Laundry Tubs,
La.vms alld Gardens, size o:t' T:~.ps alld Pipes, condition of Taps etc. alld
to report on r~ecessary cha::1;:;ee cr in[:rover~ent to the serv.ice aLC'. to d.e-
teet alld prevent w:~.ste or eKcessive waste.
That the Council make estimates alld reports alld receive apvlications
for service or supplies of. water by meter from owners of La.undries,

industrial or commercial. use.
That the Waterworks Committee submit a scale of rates to be ch3.rged

9.ffiended 9.ccordingly.
