MINUTES - Council - 19250921FOURTEENTH MEETING OF T H E COUNCIL
FOR 1925.
The fourteenth meeting of the Council for the year was held in the
Council Chamber on Monday evening September 21st.
All the members being present. Minutes of the previous meeting read
and confirmed. Communic:~.tions were received and read from the following
persons namely:-C. G. Southmayd re overcharge on :income tax. Hydro-electric
Railway re lighting War Memorial. Ca.tl:t.di!l.ll National Railways re new agr-
eement for the supply of water for the Railway. A petition signed by the
Manufactures !l.lld Merch!l.llts of the Town asking the Mayor to procl:~.:im 3. half
holiday on Saturday October the third :in honour of the unveiling of the
. Aurora War Memorial Stores to cJ.ose only from 2:30 to 4:30.

in issueiug orders on the Treasurer for the payment of the following bills

tition of the War M,emorial the Meyor declare a Part holiday on Saturdey
October 3rd the Places of Business 3XId Merch;ults be requested to close
from 2:30 to 4:30. Carried.
Moved by Mr Taylor 3XId sconnded by Mr Thompson That the Tax ii'otice•ikfor
this Municipality be sent to ratepayers by ordinary mail oy the Tax. Col-
lector and that the Solicitor be instructed to prepare the By-law giving
such authority and s;~.nci.tion accord.ing to Sec. 104 R. S. o.

Moved by Mr H3Xlcock seconded by Mr Taylor That the report of the Elect-
ric Light Committee re illumination of the War Memorial be adopted and
that a line be extended from the Town limit to the site and that current
on a Street lighting circuit be supplied for two lamps of 200 c. P. each
at the cost of the Municipality, a.nd that the seal of the Corporation be
attached hereto. Carried,
