' The tenth meeting of the Council for the year was held in the
Council Chamber on Monday evening June 8th.
The following members being present n a.."llely :-T. H. Legge acting Mayllfr
and Councillors Andrews, Bilbrougb, Hancock, Knowles and Thompson,
Minutes of the previous meeting read and confirmed.
Mr A. A, Cook appeared before the Council in reference to an over-
charge on his taxes.
A petition signed by Mrs s.w. Stephens and 385 others was presented
to the Council by a committee of the petioners to employ a Public Health
Nurse for the balance of the year at a probable cost of $550.00.
Communications were received and read from the following persons
namely:-The Hospital for Sick Children for the care of Daphoe Bardell
repensented as residing on Spruce Street.
The Clerk gave the following details in regard to the vote on the
By-law to extend the water main to St. Andrews Collage.

Mr Robert Hacking Secretary of the Fire Department re a raise of

Moved by Mr Andrews seconded by Mr Knowles that the following·
accounts be paid 3Jld that the Ma;yor issue orders on the Treasurer for
the same and that the seal of the Corporation be attached to this re-
solution namely:-

Tenh Meeting continued.
Moved by Mr .Andrews seconded by Mr Thompson that this Council do
co operate with the Department of Public Health for Ontario by
engaging the services of a qualified Public Health Nurse for the
half year July lst to Dec 31st inclusive and that th.e seal of the
Corporation be attached to this resolution.

Moved by Mr H:mcock seconded by Mr Andrews that the overcharge to Mr
Cook on his taKes be refunded and that the seal. of the Corporation
be attached to this resolution. Carried.
Moved by Mr Andrews seconded by Mr Hancock that clause 2 of resolu-
tion relating to ·recommendations o1' the Childrens Aid Society passed
May ·4th be and the same is hereby amended by inserting the words
"EKcluding the City of Toronto" after the term County of York.
Carried.
Moved by Mr . .Al'1drews seconded by Mr Hancock that our Solicitor be
and he is hereby ius·tructed to notify Mr L, E. Farrow to remove the
obstructions on the Street connecting Catherine Avenue east with
the eKtension from Centre Street north; and that the seal of the
Corporation be attached to this resolution. C arried.

That whereas the Council of the Municipality entered into a.greemeut
with St Andrews Collage for the Supply of Water; .Al'1d whereas the
Council have given the first and second readings of By-law to autholli!i:se

of the Town of Aurora held the first day of June 1925 on the said B,.
law, the said electors voted as follows 474 votes for the By-law and
9 votes ll.gainst the By-law •.
Therefore to carry out the wishes of the electors of the Town of
Aurorll. as eKpressed at the Sll.id vote, be it resolved that the said
By& law be now read a third time and passed and that the acting Mayor
and Clerk sign the sll.me and cause the seal of the Corporation to be
attached thereto and that complying with the said By-law, the acting
Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorised :Uld instructed to .sign the
