EIGHTH. MEETING OF THE COUNCIL
F 0 R 1 9 2 5.
The eighth meeting of the CouncH for tl.l.e year was held in the
Council Chamber on Monday evening May 4th.
The following members being present namely:-Mayor Walton, Reeve Legge
".nd Councillors .A.ndrews, Bilbrough, Knowles, Taylor and Thompson.
The minutes of the previous meeting read and confirmed.
Communications were received !l.nd read from the following persons
Mr W. T. Andrews re the dumping of garbage on his lot. Mrs W Brandith
asking for a refund of dog tax. Mr R. A. Fraser re the closing of the
Aurora Foundry for a short time.
Moved by Mr Andrews seconded by Mr Thompson that the following accounts
be paid 3.nd that the Mayor issue orders on the Treasurer for the same
and that the seal of the Corporation be att:~.ched to this resolution,

The M. o.·H. be -instructed to c:u:1cel all licenses for Baby Boardiug
Humes iu the Municipality effective as at July 1 1925 :u:1d thereafter lica-
enses be issued only upon the following conditions:
1 All homes :u:1d applic:u:1ts to be approved by the M. o. H.
2 That no home shall receive :u:1y child born of parents that are not
bonafide residents of the County of York for at least one year.
3 · Th!l.t no licensel:shall be allowed to keep more th:u:1 three (:3) childrf!l

cultrual Society be given the use of the Town P9.rk on the third of June

Leave was asked to introduce a By-law of the Corporation of Aurora,
for entering into a contract with St, Andrews College for the supply
to St • .Andrews College of water for domestic use on the terms and con-
ditions as provided in contract; 3.nd for tpf:l. approval of the entering
into a ·contract with St. Andrews College, for the said purpose, the
said contn.ct bearing the date the_ fourth day of May 1925,
Leave granted and By-law re3.d a first time.
Moved by Mr Taylor seconded by Mr Bilbrough that the By-law now be-
fore the· Council be read a second time this day and that Rule 33 of By-
law No 10 be suspended for that purpose.
Carried.
By-law read a second time and Council went into committee of the
whole Mr Legge in the chair.
Committee rose and reported By-law.
Leave was asked to introduce a By-law to provide for the taking of
of the votes of the electors on a proposed By-law, entitled "A By-law
to enter into a contract with St Andrews College for the supply of
W9.ter" passed the
Leave granted and By-l3.W read a first time.
Moved by Mr Knowles seconded by Mr Thompson that the By-law now be-
fore the Council be read a second and third time this day and that
Rule 33 of By-law No 10 be suspended for that purpose.
Carried.
