F I R S T M E E T I N G 0 F T H E C 0 U N C I L
F 0 R 1 9 2 5.
The first meeting of the Council for the year was held in the
Council Chamber on Monday January 12th.
The following members presented themselves and after sigr1ing the
declaration of office took their seats.
Mayor J. M, Walton Reeve T. H. Legge
Councillors M. L. Andrews, C. S. :Bilbrough, A. E. Hancock,
J. A. Knowles Jr. s. C. Taylor and P. M. Thompson.
After a short adress by the Mayor buisness was at once pro-
ceeded with.
Communications were re.ceived and read from the following per-
SOliS Namely:-
Mr. James Brothers applying for the position of Assessor for 192:i •
Mr. John Gray also applied for the position of Assessor •.

Mr C. J. Clarke applied for the position of Audit;or~ to audit the

accounts of 1924+ Mr McClerma.n M3.na.ger of the Bank of Montreal Au-
rora give uotice of the Municipalitys accounts a.t the close of 1924 •
Moved by Mr Andrews seconded by Mr Thompson that the following
accounts be paid ::~.nd that the Mayor issue orders on the Treasurer
for the same a..nd that the seal of the Corpor3.tion be att3.ched to th.is
resolution, namely:-

Mayor in issueing orders on the Treasurer for the payment of the

oration until the taxes are paid.
