TWENTIY FIRSTMEETING OF THE COUNCil.
FOR 1924
The twenty first meeting of the Council for the year was held in tlie
Council Ch3.1llber on Monday evening December l!th.
The following members being present N3.1llely :-Reev.e Legge, Councilloss
l'!ilbrough, Knowles 0 Taylor 3.lld Thompson.
' Reeve Legge in the cha.ir.
Miuutes of the previous meeting read 9J:ld confirmed.
Communica.~ions were received and read from the following persons
Namely:-Mr Wilfred M3.1lls asking to be relieved from paying Income
I'~ .
Ta.x as he did not earn $1000 in 1923. Mr ~e Patrick a.ski11g to be
relieved from paying dog tax as he was wrongfully assessed.
Mr R. Hacking Secretary of the Aurora Fire Department asking for a
new Extension Ladder for the Fire Department.
Moved by Mr Thompson seconded by Mr Bilbrough that the following
accounts oe paid 9J:ld that the Reeve issue orders on the Treasurer for
the s3.1lle and that the seal of the Corporation be· attached to this
resolution, n3.1llely :-

Moved by Mr Bilbrough seconded by Mr Kuowles that Thomas Patrick be
relieved from the payment of Dog Taxes on which he was wrongfully assess-
ed, and that the Collector be relieved from collecting s~e.

Moved by Mr Eilbrough seconded by Mr Thompson that a committee composed
of the Mayor, Reeve and Councillor Taylor are hereby appointed to inter-
view Dr Mac Donald .:~.nd the l3o~rd of Goveners of the St Andrews Collage
Toronto, to arrange for an ~greement in reference to the supply of water
by the Town of Aurora , to the Collage.
And that the seal of the Corporation be att~ched to this resolution.
Carried.
Le~ve was asked to introduce a By-law to provide for the borrowing of $
5500.00 upon debentures to pay for the construction of storm sewer, curb
gutter, and part of pavement on that part of Wellington Street in the
Town of Aurora, between a point where the said Wellington Street is inter-
sected by the West limit of Yonge Street to George Street in the said
Town of flurora.

Moved by Mr Taylor seconded by Mr Knowles that the By-law now before the
Council oe re~d a second and third time this d~y ~nd that Rule 33 of By-law
No 10 be suspended for that purpose. Carried.
