The sixth meeting of the Council for the ye~r w~s held in the
Council Room on Wednesd;cy evening llll;cy 14th.
The following members being present Namely:-M;cyor W!!.l ton, Reeve
Legge !!.nd Councillors Bilbrough, Kr1owles a.nd T!!.ylor.
Minutes of the previous meeting re3.d and confirmed.
Communic':'.tions were received and read from the following persons
Namely:-llllr A Doner asking to have the electric current connected
to his residence on Yonge Street. llllr Robert Ball for refund of dog
t':'.X improperly !l.ssessed. The T. Sisma.u Shoe Company ~sking to have
the power cut off in their Underhill Factory.
Moved by Mr Taylor seconded by Mr Knowles that the following accou_
nts be paid and that the Mayor issue orders on the Treasurer for the
same and that the seal of the Corporation be attached to this reso-
lution Namely:-
The James Robertson Company (pipes & fittings)
Bell Telephone Co. (rent etc phone 12 E. L. Dept)

Moved by Mr T9.ylor seconded by Mr Bilbrough th9.t the Town Solicitor
be instructed to prep9.re a By-law for the purpose of taking over the
Streets as shown on pl3.ll submitted by Mark Badger, 3.lld approve the
said pl3.ll.

Moved by Mr Legge seconded oy Mr Knowles that Rooert Ball be refund-
ed the sum of $2.00 dog tax .for the ye9.r 1923 being wrongfully assesse.

Moved by Mr Bilbrough seconded by Mr Knowles that a Court of Revision .
composed of the following members. The Mayor, ~Reeve md Councillors
Taylor, Bilbrough and KJ:1owles be held on Monday evening June 2nd at
S P. M. in the Council ehamber, and that the Clerk be instructed to
advertise the s9.me 3.lld get out the proper notices.

Moved by Mr Taylor seconded by Mr Bilbrough that a vote be umounced
by distribution of h3.lld bills 3.lld that all electors oe requested to
record their wishes respecting the date of our civic Holiday 3.lld ou
Daylight Saving time.
j~he poll to oe held at the Town Hall on May 23rd from 9 A. M. to
9 P. M. by 9pen vote. The Clerk to make necessary arru1gements.
