Moved by Mr Hancock seconded by Mr Taylor that the report of the
Mechanics Hall Bo:~.rd of Trustees be received a.l'ld th:~.t the thar1ks
of the Corporation be extended to the Board for services rendered
by them. Carried.
Moved by mr Bilbrough seconded by. Mr Taylor that the following
accounts be paid and th:~.t the Ma.yur issue orders on the Treasurer
for the same and that the seal of the Corporation be attached to
this resolution:-namely:-

Municipal Council of the Town of Aurora do hereby desire to place
on record their deep regret at .the loss sustained oy the death of
our fellow citizen.

who for six years guided the destinies of Aurora. as Reeve.
During his term of office Aurora was in the form!l.tive stage !l.nd
to his untiring devotion to the best interests of the village Auroras ·
present creditable position may be attributed. To the late Mr Yule
the citizenz owe much more than they can estimate.
We !l.lso wish to convey to Mrs Yule and F!I.!Uily our sincerist sympathy
knowing that great as is the loss to the Town their's is much gre-
!l.ter having l.ost a kindly fa.ther and. !1. lifelong companion. The C1:rt
is hereby authorised to engross this resolution on the minute book
of the Corporation and to send a copy to the relatives,

Board be granted the sum of $722.00 for the year less the $200,00
rent!l.l., as l!equested and that the se :ti of the Corporation be attac&

of the Fire Department for their annual ~~nt of $200;.',00 dollars
for 1924 be accepted IDd al'l order drawn on the Treasurer for the

Finar1ce Committee's Report.
(1) We recommend the adoption of the Auditors report !I.S tabled and
wish to express the th!l.nks of this Council for the complete audit
·and the painstaking report they have brought in; as reumeratiou for
their services we propose th!l.t each be pud the sum of $50.{){)
that ar1 !l.bstract be printed in the paper for two weeks ar1d that a
h!l.lf dozen copies be struck off ar1d displayed in conveinent pla.ces.
( 2) As suggested in thei• .. report we recommend that George W!l.lk.er be
placed ur;der bond of $1000 with a guariDtee compar1y.
(3) That addition!l.l insurance to the amount of $3000 be pla.ced on tba
Waterworks ar1d El.ectric Light Plar1t.
( 4) In order to as orb· the Premiums off High School Deoentures we
recommend that bor.lds of the first two years be purchased now.

(5) That the Electric Light Bonds for $3000 be sold :.t present high
premimum; that the proceeds be used to discharge .the Lemon note and
the recovery of the Debentures held as security for caz1caJ.lation,
::~nd that a note from the Town under the signature of the lhyor az1d
Treasurer az1d the seal of the Corpon.tion oearing interest at 5i'~ be
placed to the credit of the Electric Light Department and that lll
additionaJ. thousllJd dollar oond,of either 34 or 43 issue (Dominion
Govermeut Bonds) be pur.chased with surplis Electric Light funds.
(6) We recommend that the Tre::~surer be releived from collecting
taxes for the amounts against the names of George Mcilvena, R. P.
Hetherington. Glenn Brown and William Brown.

The Fin::~nce Committee hereby recommend that the Electric Light
account be traz1sferred to the Sterling Baz1k in order th3.t a more
equitable distribution of the town Banking ouisness 1nay thereby

Finance Committee as appended be adopted az1d that the sea:L of the
