COUNCIL
The tenth meeting of the Couucil for the year was held in the
Council Room ou Fridaj; evening July ?7th.
The following members being present Namely:-Mayor Walton, Reeve
Legge 3.nd Councillors Andrews, Bilbrough, and Knowles.
The minutes of the previous meeting read and confirmed.
Communications were received and read from the following persons
Namely:-Mr w. w. Pope Secretary of Hydro-Electric Power Commission in
reference to the dangerous condition of the Railway tr;~.cks through ii:e
Tovrn. Mr A. E. Dicker Acting Secret;~.ry of the Aurora Horticul turalSo-
ciety asking for :Ul incre;~.se in their yearly gr:u1t. A petition was
presented
signed by Walter Dunning and five others asking the Council to open
Temper:u1ce Street through to Ransom Street.
Moved by Mr Knowles seconded by Mr Bilbrough that the following ;~.c
counts be paid and· that the M;~.yor issue an order on the T.re;~.surer
for the same :u1d th.at the seal of the Corporation be ;~.ttached to this
resolution, Namely:-

make a grant to the Horticultural Society of $50,00 the same to be
used for the beutifying of the Town.

Moved by Mr Legge seconded by Mr Andrews that the Solicitor
be· instructed to prepare an applic;~.tion for a he;~.ring before the
Ontario R3.ilwa.y ;~.nd Municipal Bo;~.rd reg!lrding the uus;~.fe condition
of the Hydro-Electric Railway car tr3.cks throughout the Town on
Yonge Street. Carried.
