N I N T H M E E T I N G 0 F T H E C 0 U N C I L
FOR 1923.
The ninth meeting of the Council for the year was held in
the Council Room Friday evening July 6th.
The following members being present N=ely :-Mayor Walton, Reeve
Legge and Couucillors Andrews, Bilbrough, Gray, Hancock and Ki:wwles~.
The minutes of the two previous meetings read and confirmed.
Communications were received and read from the following persons
Namely:-Mr A Langman re new ston.g;e battries for the gasolene pump.
The Toronto General Hospital re care of Mrs Emily W3.rren. Mr M Forsyth
3.sking to h3.ve a night Constable employed by the Corporation.
Mr Clifford JC Case asking for p3.yment for accidept to Mr McDonald
who is alleged to have slipped 3lld fell on the sidewalk opposite the
Town Hall. Mr GH and D Whitmore asking to have the water tumed on
and for refund of dog tax.
Moved by Mr Andrews seconded by Mr H3!1Cock that the following.
accounts be paid lllld that the MaYor issue orders on the Treasurer for
the. same and that the seal of the Corporation be attached to this
resolution:

Mr McDonud· be h:utded to our Solicitor with instructions to defend any

Moved by Mr Hancock seconded by Mr Andrews that the application
of G. H. & D. Whitmore asking that the. water service be turned on be
granted on payment in advance as per By-law. Carried.
Moved by Mr Gray seconded by Mr Bilbrough that the applic3.tion for
eKemption from buisness t:tK on the Club Hotel be not granted.
Carried.
Moved By Mr Legge seconded by Mr Bilbrough th9.t the Clerk be 9.lld
is hereby instructed to write the Hydro-Electric Power Commission re
the d:utgerous state of tr:tcks through t;1e Town of Aurora if no action.
