Tile Fourteenth meeting of the Council for the year was held. in the Council Room on Mond.:ty evening June 19th. All members being present, the minutes of the previous meeting read and. confirmed. Communications were received and re:td from the following persons namely:- The Gartshore-Thompson Pipe & Foundry Co. giving quotations on pives etc. Canadian Allis-Chambers, Ltd.. giving quotations on Hydrants. John T.Hepbum Ltd. giving quotations on Hydrants and Valves. Moved by Mr. Taylor. Seconded oy Mr. Andrews. That the following accounts be vaid and that the Mayor issue orders on the Treasurer for the same and that the se:;~.l of the Corporation be attached to this resolution, Namely:- Benjamin Electric Co. A deputation from the Ve·terans Club was heard in reference to a grant for the Domituhon Day Celebration. Mr. Dudley Wilcox was also heard in reference to a sidewalk on Wellington Street north of their store. Councillor Bilbrough brought in a report re the paymeut of the Town Employees. Mr. Langman was heard in reference to certain repairs at the Electric Light Station. Moved by Mr. Andrews. Seconded by Mr. Matson, That the !Road and Bridge Committee be instructed to have our local force lay a cement sidewalk on the South side of Wellington Street adjoining Whimster & Wilcox Store and adjoining lane from the wall to the curb. That the extra amount over five feet be charged to Whimster & Wilcox.''·" And that the seal of the Corporation be attached to this resolution. Carried. Moved by Mr. Knowles. Seconded by Mr. Bilbrough. Th:~.t the Electric Light Committee be and they are hereby instructe.d to have the work at the Electric Light Pl~1t completed forthwith. And that the seal of the Corporation tle attached to this resolution. Carried. Moved by Mr. Grey. Seconded by Mr. Matson. That this council do hereby make a gr~1t of" One Hundred Dollars to the Aurora War Veter~1s Association for to be used f'or the promotion of the July 1st Field Day. And that the seal of the Corporation be afixed hereto. Carried. Moved by Mr. Knowles. Seconded by Mr. Legge. • That the By -L3.ws connnittee be and they are hereby instructed to report :~. By -Law at the next meeting of this 6ouncil to cover the cost of the installation of a four inch water main on Kennedy Street from Youe;e Street west to Mr. Strakers Property on the Said Street. Leave was asked tv introduce a By _ :P>aw to authorize the construction of additional pavement to that proposed to oe cunstructed by the Toronto and York Roads Cvmmission ou that part of Wellington Street, from a point whelle it is iu"tersected by the East limit of Youge Street, Easterly to a depth of twp hundred feet (200 1 ) as a local imprlilvement under the proTisions first time of the "Local Improvement Act"· Leave granted and By-Law read a Moved by Mr. Matson. Seconded by Mr. Taylor. That the By -La.w now before the Council be read a second &third time this da.y O'Uld that Rule 33 of the By-Law No. 10 be suspended for that vurpose. ijarried.
