T he twelveth meeting of the Council for the ye3.r was held in the '
Council Room on Monday evening May 1st.
All members being present, the minutes of the previous meeting
read and confirmed.
Communications were received and read from the following persons
namely:-Judge Widdifield re award in Baldwin vs Aurora Corporation.
Mr. E. E. Shortell asking for a reb9.te of taxes on Continental Match Co.
Tenders for cement from Mr. F. Browning and Mr. G. w. Lyon.
Mr. J"ohn Hickson re Assessment on Lots on Edvrard St •. ···t,;I-·
llr. H. E. Proctor was he:~.rd in reference to exchange oi:' Lots
in Wells sub-division.
A deputation from the Board of Trade was heard asking for a
grant from the Corporation for free Band Concerts during the
summer months.
Moved by M:r:. T. H. Legg Seconded oy Mr. Taylor.
That the following accounts be paid and th:~.·t the M:tyor issue
· orders on the Treasurer for the same and that the seal of the
Corporation be attached to this resolution, Namely:-

Moved by Mr. Matson Seconded by Mr. Knowles.
That this council do hereby make a grant of $~00. 00 p.J:J-
in conjunction with the Aurora Bo:l.rd of Trade to the Auror3.
Band in consider:ttion that they give a series of eight
concerts during the ·coming summer se:l.son. The said band to
be composed of not less th:u-1 15 players.
And that the seal of the Corporation be affixed hereto.

·That the option
Carried.
Seconded by Mr. Andrews.
of Mr. H.E.Proctor to convey to the
Corporation the l:u1d described in said option dated the
1st day of May 1922, for the sum of $100.00. Offer of exch:u1ge
be accepted and that the seal ot' the Corporation oe at-~ached
thereto.

Moved by Mr. Knowles. Seconded by Mr. Legg.
That the plan of Temper:u1ce Street South as submitted to
the Town of Aurora by Mr. J. W, qutchinson and Mr. C. A. Fry be
:u1d the Same is hereby accepted by this Council.
And the Seal_ of the 6orporation be attached to this
resolu tidln.

Leave was asked to introduce a By -Law to appoint; a Court of
Revision
Leave granted 3.nd By -Law read a first time.
Moved by Mr. Taylor. Seconded oy Mr. Knowles.
That the By -L3.W now before the Council be read a second
and third time this day and th3.t Rule 33. of By -Law No 1{}
be suspended for that purpose.
Carried.
By -L9.w read a second time and Council went into committee of
the whole Mr. Legge in the Chair:_
Committee rose and reported By -Law with bl9.nks filled.
By -Law read a third time and passed.
