The twentieth meeting of the Council for the year was held in the Council Room on Wednesday evening November 23rd. The following members being present Namely:-Mayor Baldwin Reeve Knowles Councillors Bilbrough, Browning, Ha.ricocls:, Naughton and Matson. The minutes of the previous meeting read and confirmed.. Communications were received and read from the followiug persons Namely:-The Ontario Municipal Association re the application of the 'Bell Telephone Company for a raise of rates. In consideration that the School Children of Aurora have free skating in said Rink from the hours of 4-30 P M to 5 -30 P M for two days of each week. And the seal of the Corporation be affixed to this resolution. Carried. Moved by Mr Hancock seconded by Mr Browning That the Solicitor be and he is hereby instructed to Pa::/ to the Bawden Machine Co the sum of $300,00 the same to be in full of account. This resolution to be without prejudice to the claim of the Corporation for damages t'or non- fulfillment of the contract. That the seal of the Corporation be at- tached to this resolution. Carried.
