E L E V E N T H M E E T I N G 0 F T H E C 0 U N C I L
FOR 1921.
The eleventh meeting of the Council for the year was held in the
Council Room on Monday evening May 30th.
The following memoers being present Namely:-Mayor Baldwin Council-
lors Bilbrough, Butler, Browning, Hancock, Matson and Naughton.
Leave was asked to introduce a By-law to appoiut an Arbitrator for
the Corporation of the Town of Aurora., for the arbritration in re-
ference to the alleged damages claimed by G W Baldwin for the Club
Hotel property, occasioned by the roadway in front of the said prem-
ises having been lowered and acess thereto rendered more difficult.
Leave was granted and By-law read a. first time.
Moved by Mr Naughton seconded by Mr Browning that the By-law now
·before the. Council be read a second an4l third time this day aud that
Rule 33 of By-law No 10 be suspended for that purpose. Carried.
By-law read a second time and Council went into committee of the
whole Dr Butler in the chair.
Committee rose and reported blanks fil1ed with the name of J M
Ferguson of Toronto.
By-law read a third time and passed •
. Leave was asked to introduce a By-law to allow fees for the Solicitor
or Counsel of the Town of Aurora, in 9J:IY li;!:;igation, ·~o be payable
to the said Solicitor.
Leave was gr9J:Ited and By-law read a first time.
Moved by Mr Matson seconded by Mr Bilbrough that the By-law now be-
fore the Council oe read. a second and third time this day and that
Rule 33 of By-law No 10 be suspended for that purpose. Carried.

COURT OF REVISION FOR 1 9 2 1.
The first meeting of the Court of Revision for the year for the
Town of Aurora was held in the Council Room on Monday evening May 3oth.
The following members being present Namely:-Mayor Baldwin, Councillors
Bllbrough, Hancock and Naughton.
Moved by Mr Hancock seconded by Mr Bilbrougb that M3.Jor Baldwin be·
appointed chairmar1 for this Court for 1921.
Carried.
The Following appeals were then heard.
Mr C Vl Widdifield appea:.l.ed for Mr M Alspector against the assess-
ment of the Queens Hotel prope:ety giving no reasotls for ·appeal,
Assessment sustained.
Mr W J Mount overcharged, Appeal sustained assessment on house
reduced $60. oo.
Mr G Vl Baldwin assessed to high on account of part of property
destroyed by grade reduction. No reduction was made on the property,
but the buisness tax was reduced $500. 00.
