The thirteenth meeting of the Council for the year was held in
the Council Room on Wednesday evening May 20th.
The following members being present lhmely :JJ Mayor iiiassett, Reeve
Scrivener, Councillors Bro1ming, Faris, Matson ~nd N~ughton.
The minutes of the last meeting re~d ~nd confirmed.
Communications were received and read from the following persons
NaJnely :-The Aurar~ Bowling Club applying for the Town Park for July
1st for holding the Annual Town Celebration. Mr C H Sheppard offering
to spend dollar for dollar on Ross Street for every dol.i.ar spent on
sidewalk oy the Corporation ou that Street.
The Toronto & York R Ry Co re arranging wires on Yonge Street
. north of Maple Street. Mr A W Mercer M:zyor of Galt re a resolution
to tax owners of Motor Vehicles for of roads.

Moved by Mr Browning seconded by Mr Matson that the report of
the Road & Bridge Committee to build a two foot six side1;alk on the
east side of Ross Street be adopted. Also that the offer of Mr C H
Shepp3Xd to spend an amount on repairing of Ross Street equal to that
spent by the Town on the sidewalk on Ross Street be accepted by this
Corporation and that the Clerk be instructed to notify Mr Sheppard
that the offer has been accepted. And that the Seal of the Corporation
be attached to this resolution. Carried.
Moved by Dr Scrivener seconded by Mr Faris that the Solicitor
be and he is hereby instructed to notify Mr W H Bushnell that when a
legal ·plan of Kennedy Street dedicating the Street to this Corporation
within the limit of Aurora, be submitted to this Council the same will
be accepted. That the seal of the Corporation be attached to this
resolution. Carried.
Moved by Mr Matson seconded by Mr lilrowning that the communication
from the Toronto & York Radial Railway Co stating. that they will do
certain moving of wires on Yonge Street for actual cost plus 15% oe

the Aurora ilowliug Club for the use of the Town Park on Ju:iy the first
for the purpose of ho:iding a field day oe grauted. And that the seal

Report of the Fire Committee.

Your l!'ire Committee, after careful consideration
beg to submit the following report:-
l We beconnnend that one hundred feet of regulation Fire Hose oe
purchased to replace hose Ourned at Ba.ldwins fire.
2 'rhat the following equipment oe purchased; one half dozen key
wrenches, one hose nipple (Toronto thread), one Gate for No 2 reel.
3 That each reel oe numoered.
4 That in case of a day fire, Mr Petch 's first duty be to telephone
the Factories to notify their men.
5 That the Annual Grant to the Firemau be raised. to Two hundred
dollars ($200, 00 ).
