The Tenth meeting of the C~;~unci.t for the. year. was ''held in .the
Council Room on Monday evening April 19th.
All the members present. The Mayor in the chair.
The minutes of the previous meeting read and confirmed..
Communications were received and. read from the following persons
Namely:-Mr W A Douglas re The Tax Reform. League of Rastern Canada.
Mr C L Wilson Manager Toronto & York Radial. Railway re the disorderly
conctuct in the waiting room of the Auror:~. Station on Sunda;y evenings.
Mr C M Norr;i.s and thirty sLi. others requesting the Town Council of
Aurora to use every effort towards having the work on the good roads
system resumed at the earliest moment.

Moved oy Mr Matson seconded by Mr Browning th:J.t this Council do
through the Clerk ask the management of the Torooto & Yon: Radial
Railway Co to kindly move or rearrru1ge the wires. on several poles
situ:J.ted at the north end of the Town on Yonge s~.reet so that the
Town can give service to a ratepayer for electric range.
We also ask that further cousulation reg:J.rding aoove oe mael.e with
our Town Electrician Mr II Langman so that quick action can be made.

Moved by Mr Matson seconded by Mr Browning that a committee com-
posing Mayor Bassett and Reeve Scrivener and Councillor Naughwn oe
Commissoner
a devutation to wait the Hon George Henry to ascertain what the
Goverments intentions are regarding the completion of Yonge Street
Aurora, and which is at present completed ou:Ly partially vn the vue
side of Metropolition Railway track. Also draw his attention to the
unsatisfactory state of the track and unfinished road oy grading a:l-
ready doue on the one side and not on the other.

Moved oy Dr Scrivener seconded by Mr Davis that Mr Langmans salary
be raised to thirty dollars per weeK and that the seal o:t' the Corp-
ation be attached to this resolution. Carried.
Moved oy Mr Hicksou seconded by Mr Naughton that oh.i.s Corporation
gr:un :UI increase of $4. 00 per week to :&'tsher Dunham until further
