SECOND MEETING OF THE COUNCIL
F 0 R 1 9 2 0,
The Second meeting of the Council for the year was held in the
Council Room on Monda.y evening Jan 1\:lth.
All the members beiug present. The Mayor in the chair.
The minutes of the previous meeting was read and confirmed.
Communications were received 9.nd read from the following persons
Namely:-Fidelity Agency Corporation re insurance policies.
Toronto & York Radial Railway Co re new graphic chart at the pumping
station. Mr James Brothers applying for the positiou of Assessor.
Musko}£a Free Hospital for Consumptives asking for a donation.
The Hospital for Sick Children asking for aid.
Mr C H Sheppard was he"l.rd in reference to gravelling Ross Street
and continuing side W'l.lk ta end of Street.
Bills were recieved from the following persons Namely:-

Mayor in issueing orders on the Treasurer for the payment of the

the Striking Committee. be and the s3Jlle is hereby adopted, and the
seal of the Corporation be attached to this resolution.

Moved By Mr Matson seconded by Mr Scrivener th3.t this Corporation
appoint a committee to report as to the 3.dVis3.oili ty 3.Ud cost of
having present Town HaJ.l vault made fire proof by installation of
vault door etc, instead of leaving same as now subject to fire hazard
and thereby endangering the J.ess of Town's valu 3.ble records.
Committee to be composed of Mr Hickson, Mr Matson and Mr Naughton.
Th3.t the seal of the Corporation be attached to this resolution.

Moved by Mr Matson seconded by Mr Hickson that this Couucil do hereby
9.ppoint a committee to investigate and report 9.S to wh!l.t stands in
the w~ of having the Towns securities properly protected by fire
policies etc., ::~.nd the ultimate placing of said securities in Towns
hands. Th!l.t the seal of the Corpor!l.tion oe 9.tt::~.ched to this resolution.
Th::~.t the committee be composed of Mr Scrivener and Mr Hickson.

Moved by Mr Ih.ughton seconded by Mr Matson that the Property committee
of this Council be asked to investig::~.te the 9.dvis9.bility and ::~.pproKim-
ate cost of pl3.cing street signs on the corners of the main thorough-
f3.res of the Town.
That the seal of the Corpora-tion oe attached to this resolution.

Notice of Motiun by Mr Scrivener.
At the neKt meeting of this Cuunci:l I wi11 muve .3. cumlni ttee be ap-
pointed to enquire into the advislitb1i ty of either • ebuilding or selling
the Office Bureau property.
2nd motion.
Owing to the failure of Aurora Mens Club I will move that
a committee be appointed to advise what methods should be used to
keep the Town al'1dhi ts advant3.ges before-the public.
Leave was asked to introduce anBy .... law tcr appoint an Assessor.
