The following members being present N9lllely :-Mayor B<;tldwin, Reeve Knowles, Councillors Andrews, Bassett, Crockart & Ross. The Mayor in the chair. The minutes of the last meeting vrere read and confirmed. Communications were received a11d read from the following persons Namely:-Thomas Spillett re taxes on property on Con- Wells & Connaught Streets.John McMahon offering the Citezens of the Town a11 additional lot North of Maple Street for Pa:rlc purposes marked on plan as Block A. on condition Corporation pay registeration expenses. The Beverly Wood Specialty Co.Ltd. re locating in Aurora if suitable Factory accomadationscould be secured. The Toronto General re old account for maintenwJCe of indegents. Bills were received from the following persons Namely:- Toronto $ York Radial Railway Co. freight do Power for June A. E. Carried. Moved by Mr Crocka.rt seconded by Mr Andrews that the Mayor, Reeve, and Councillors Andrews, and Ross be a. committee to con- sider the advisibili ty of having a. plan of the Town of Aurora. with a view of considering a. sewerage system for this Town. Carried. I i r-·. !·"- 3 Sixteenth meeting continued, Moved by Mr Knowles seconded by Mr Andrews that Mr A Langmans \'lages be increased to Eighteen Dollars per week same to take effect from .August lst 1916. And that the By-law committee be and they a.re hereby instructed to present a By-law at the next meeting of this Council governing the same. Carried. Mr Andrews give Notice of Motion to alter minmum rate of El- ectria lighting. The Chairman of the etc. Committee property1,presented a report re Park fence Leave \'laS asked to introduce a By-law To amend the Statute Labour Act. Leave granted and By-law read a first time. Moved by Mr Crockart seconded by Mr Andre1'ls that the By-law now before the Council be read a second and third time this day and that Rule 33 of By-law No 10 be suspended for that purpose. Carried, Committee By-law read a second time and Council went into1\of the Whole on the same Mr Bassett in the chair. Committee rose and reported By-law with blanks filled.
