The tenth meeting of the Council for the year was held in the
Council room on Mondg,y evening May 1st.
The following members being present Namely:-Mayor Baldv1in,
Reeve Knowles, Councillors Andrews, Bassett, Crock art, Hancock and Ross.
The Mayor in the chair.
The minutes of the previous were reg,d 3.rJd adopted.
Communications were received and read from the following persons

W.J.Stevenson M.D. asking to have patient sent to Hospital.
Arthur H. Williamson and 11, others re bridge on Kennedy Street.

accounts be paid and that the Mayor issue orders on the Treasurer

this resolution.

The Chairman of the Road & Bridge Committee presented the
following report.
To the Mayor and Council .
Gentlemen,
Your Committee on Roads & Bridges beg to recommend that the
following work be done this year.
1st. Four fo.ot cement and plank walk on the North side of Centre
Street from Yonge Street to Spruce Street.
Z9dt. Four foot cement walk on West side of Spruce Street from
Centre Street to North side of Maple Street,
3rd. 20 inch plank walk on North side of Wellington Street from
James Staleys to end of Corporation.
4th. George Street to be graded from Tyler Street to Lepper Street,
5th. That the Tile Drain on the South side of Metcalf Street be
repaired as soon as possible.
6th. That Kennedy Street be graded as far West as the Road & Bridge
Committee think advisable and the sidewalk be repaired or renewed
as the Committee think advisable,
Moved by Mr Knowles seconded by Mr Andrews that the report of
Road & Bridge Committee be received and adopted. And the Road and
Bridge Committee be and they are instructed to have the work com-
pleted as soon as possible, and 'the seal of the Corporation be
