The twenty seventh meeting of the Council was held in the Council
room on Tuesday evening September 14th.
The following members being present namely:-Mayor Baldwin,Reeve
Knuwles, Councillors Andrews, Bassett, and Hancock.
The Mayor in the chair.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and adopted.
Communications vrere received and read from the following persons.
The 'foronto & York Radial Railway Co. re Power bill.
Urquhart Uqurhart & Page re Shuleman Water Supply.
Geo. A. Stimson re Local Improvement Debentures.
Bills were received from the following persons namely:-
Northren Electric Co. (supplies for battries) $23.76
Jas. Whimster & Co. (clothing etc. for William? family 12.69

Moved by Mr Bassett Seconded by Mr Hancock that the following accounts
be paid and that the Mayor issue orders on the Treasurer for the same·
and that the seal of the Corporation be attached to.this resolution.

Moved by Mr Bassett seconded by Mr Hancock that the action of the
Mayor in issueing orders on the Treasurer for the payment of the
follov1ing bills be and the same is hereby confirmed and ·that the seal·
of the Corporation be attached to this resulution.

Moved by Mr Knowles seconded oy Mr Andrews that the Road & Bridge
Committee be and they are hereby instructed to construct a four foot
cement sidewalk on the East side of Fleury Street from the centre of
Mr N.Eades property,to the North side of Mr Roy Dela.Hayes property

Mr W. Percy Gillispie was heard re the proposed By-lav1 which he
is asking the Council to submit to. the people,re the old Collie
Cockrill property, vti th a veiw of having the amount raised :from $7, 500
-:to $10, 000. Action was deferred until another meeting.
Council then. Adjourned to meet at the call of the Mayor. r
