The twenty fifth meeting of the Council was held in the
Council Room on Monday evening August 16th.
The following members being present namely:-Mayor Baldwin,
Reeve Knowles, Councillors Andrews, Bassett, Hulse, Hancock & Crockart.A
The Mayor in the chair.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read ax1d adopted.
Communications were received ax1d 'read from the following persons:
Geo. A. Stimson & Co. re Local Improvement Debentures.
General Accident Assurance Co.re Corporations liability
for accidents to Employees.
Cax1adian General Electric Co. re account sent by mistake to Toronto &
York Radial Ry. Co.
A. H. Martens & Co. re Electric Light & Waterworks Debentures.
Mrs W. H. Machell re overdue account for Scarlet Fever Patient.
A. N. Myer enclosing Resolution from Stamforil Board of Trade.
R. N. Bell Sec. Aurora Public School applying for grax1t of
Si£ Thousax1d Five Hundred Dollars for School purposes. A petition
from James Brothers ax1d five others re extending walks on Fleury &
Catherine Sts. Also a petition from M. Shuleman ar1d 198 others asking for
Water ax1d Fire protection for the ratepayers on Kennedy St. West.

Moved by Mr. Crockart Seconded by Mr. Hancock that the
follov1ing accounts be paid and that the Mayor issue orders on
the Treasurer for the same and that the seal of the Corporation
be attached to this resolution Namely:-

that the seal of the corporation be attached to this resolution.

Moved by Mr. Kno1tlea Seconded by Mr. Andrews that the Road
& Bridge Committee be and they are hereby instructed to have
what stone we have on halld put on Wellington Street, the work
to be done as soon as possible, and the seal of the Corporation
be attached to this resolution .
