The twenty first meeting of the Council for 1913 was held on
Tuesday evening November 4th, the following members being present
Namely, Mayor Baldwin, Reeve Knowles, and Councillors Andrews,
Bassett, Crockart, and Hulse.
The Mayor in the chair.
A representative of the Allis-Chalmers Company was present and
heard regarding their tender for the electric pUmps and other
electric machinery in connection therevdth for the waterworks.
Bills were received from;-
The Bell Telephone Company, conversations
James Reynolds, cement for sidewalk
Fred Underhill, difference in moter

bills be paid that the Mayor sign orders on the Treasurer for the
came and that the seal of the Corporation be attached to this
resolution;-

Moved by Mr Bassett seconded by Mr Crookart that the Mayor
and Clerk be and they are hereby authorized and instructed to
sign the Contract and Agreement as revised and corrected with
the Allis-Chambers Co Limited, for the srun of Six thousand Six
Hundred and Ninety Five Dollars ($6695.00) for the complete
purchase and erection of the pumps and electric moters for the
Water Works and that the seal of the Corporation be attached to
this resolution.
Carried.
A claim amounting to $175.00 was received from Mr A. E. Machell
for horse killed by live wire on the street.

11oved by Mr Knowles seconded by Mr Andrews that the claim of
Mr Machell for the loss of his horse while in the emplilly of the
Town be referred to the Electric Light Committee to try and
arraign a basis of setlement of the same and report the same at
the next meeting of this Council.

mers Company be and they are hereby authorized< to furnish and
install at the Aurora Water Works one Venturi Tube, one type
M Indicator recorder and one Palanimeter, for the sum of Five
Hundred and Fifty Dollars Complete and that the seal of the
Corporation be attached to this resolution.

Moved by Mr Bassett seconded by Mr Hulse that the Canadian<
Allis-Chalmers Company be and they are hereby authorized and
instructed to su]lj;lly the following material for the installation
of the new <pumps and electric rooters to be installed at th<e
Aurora Water Works;-

be attached to this resolution

mittee be and they are hereby instructed to bring in a bylaw for
the election of two two or three commissioners for the Electric
Light and Water Works for the year 1914 said election to be held
at the same time and place as the i·1unicipal elections for the
year 1914, and that the seal of the Corporation be attach<ed to
this resolution
