The fou~teenth meeting of the Council fer 1914 was held on
Friday evening July lOth, the following Members being present, viz
Mayor Baldwin, Reeve Knowles and Councillors Bassett, Croekart,
Coulter, Murray and Sisman.

Moved by Mr Sisman seconded by Mr Knowles that XkB a vote of
re
thanks be tendered Mr Tyrrell for his services in painting the
Town Fountain and that the Clerk be and he is hereby instructed to
write Mr Tyrrel to this effect and that the seal of the Corporation
be attached tomthis resolution

Leave was asked to intrmduce a bylaw to provide for borrowing
Fifteen Hundred and Seventy 60/100 Dollars to pay for the construe
tion of cement sidewalks on the local Improvement Plan
Leave granted and Bylaw read a first time.
Moved by Mr Coulter seconded by Mr Crockart that the byl aw
now before the Council be read a second and third time this day
and that rule 33 of bylaw No 10 be suspended for that purpose.
Carried
Bylaw read a second time and Council went into com\nittee of
the whole on the same Mr Murray in the Chair
Committee rose and reported bylaw with blanks filled.
Bylaw read a third time and. passed.
Leave was asked to introduce a bylaw to borrow Money to pay
for the extension of Waterworks in certain portions of the town on
the local improvBment system
Leave granted and bylaw re·ad a first time.
Moved by Mr Coulter seconded by Mr Crookart that the Bylaw now
before the Council be read a second and third time this day and
that rule 33 of bylaw No 10 be suspended for that purpose

Bylaw read a second time and Council went into committee of
the whole on the same
Clommittee rose and reported bylaw with blanks filled.
Bylaw read a third time and passed.
Leave was asked to introduce a bylaw to borrow money to pay
for drains in certain localities on the local Improvement plan
Leave granted and bylaw read a first time.
Moved by Mr ltnowles seconded by Mr Murray that the bylaw
now before the Council be read a second and third time this day
and that rule 33 of bylaw No 10 be suspended for that purpose.

Bylaw read a second time and ~axxax Council went into Cemmittee
ef the whole on the same Mr. Coulter in the chair.
Committee rose and reported bylaw with blanks filled
Bylaw read a third time and passed.
Leave was asked to introduce a bylaw to consolidate the sums
to be borrowed by certain Local Improvement bylaws into one sum
and to borrow the same by the issue of debentures therefor.

Moved by Mr Sisman seconded by Mr Bassett that the bylaw now
before the C~uncil be read a second and third time this day.

of the whole on the same Mr Crockart in the chair
Committee rose and reported bylaw with blanks filled
Bylaw read a third time and passed.
Couneil adjourned to meet at the call of the Mayor.
