The Property Committee made the following report;- To the Mayor and Council in council assembled Gentlemen;- We your committee who were appainted te exam ine the town Park beg leave to report we have examined the park and fence surrounding the same and find several posts in the fence and pickets need r,eplacing, The Water Closet needs replacing and the ticket office needs cleaning and repairing and the grass out. All of which is respect fully submitted. Moved by Mr Knowles seconded by Mr Coulter that the bylaw com mittee be and they are hereby instructed to report a Bylaw at the next meeting of this Council fer the purchase and opening up of George street north to Wellington Street and that the seal of the Corporation be attached to this resolution Carried. Moved by MrbKnowles seconded by Mr Coultei that the Orangemen of Aurora be granted the free use of the Town Park and the Market house for their Demonstration on July 12th/ Carried Moved by Mr Basset seconded by Mr Crockart that the Clerk be and he is hereby authorized and instructed to secure a plan for the extension of Medcalf street over the Grand Trunk Tracks Carried. Moved by Mr Bassett seconded by Mr Crockart that the Water Works Committee be and they are hereby authorized and instructed to have an overland water service laid in the Town Park at the south east corner for use on July 1st 2nd 3rd and 12th. Also that a water service be laid ta the Stock Yards at the Grand Trunk. Carried. Leave was asked to introduce a bylaw to borrow money to meet the current expenditure of the Town until the taxes are paid. Leave granted and bylaw read a first time. Moved by Mr Sisman seconded by Mr Crockart that the bylaw now before the Council be read a second and third time this day and that rule 33 of bylaw No 10 be suspended for that purpose. Carried Bylaw read a second time and Council went into committee of the whole on the same C0mmittee rase and reported by lay with blanks filled Bylaw read a third time and passed '.-, .. _.- 1 -1 \ i I j ·., '· Twelfth Meeting of the Council Leave was asked to introuuce a bylaw to me*t the expenditure of constructing cement sidewalks, water mains and Drains on the Wells subdivision, McMahon subdivision, Alexandria Park and other parts of the town on the Local Improvement plan. Leave granted and bylaw read a first time Moved by Mr Sisman seconded by Mr Croekart that the bylaw new before the Council be read a second and third time this day and that rule 33 of bylaw No 10 be suspended for that purpose. Bylaw read a second time and Council went into committee of the whole on the same Committee rose and reported bylaw with blanks filled. Bylaw read a third time amd passed.
