The Fourteenth meeting of the Council for 1913 was held on Wed
nesady Bvening July-2nd,· the following menbers being present, Viz
Mayor Baldwin/ Reeve Knowles and Councillors

Browning , Hulse and Sisman? The Mayor in the Chair.
Minutes of the last two meetinge read and confirmed.
Communications were received and read from;-
The Clerk giving the following results of the vote on the bylaw
to take electric Power from the Toronto and York Radial Railway
Company and to comfirm the Agreement entered into between the
Council and the said Company. The following is the result by wards
North Ward 155 for the bylaw and 4 against the bylaw
Centre Ward 125 do 5 do
South Ward 141 dO 10 do
421 dO 19 dO
Majority for the bylaw 402.

Moved by Mr Bassett seconded by Mr Sisman th<ct the following bills
be paid, tah the Mayor issue orders on the Treasurer for the same and
that the seal of the Corporation be attached to this resolution:

Moved by Mr Bassett seconded by Mr Browning that the waterworks
committee be and they are hereby authorized to order 4 imch water mains
for Tyler Street west of George Street to Lepper Street. west on Leper
street to the houses being built by Mr Spur, Also a 4 inch main be
laid on Connaught Avenue from Wells street to Edward street and
hydrants where necessary
Carried.
Leave was asked to introduce a bylaw giving power to the Mayor and
Treasurer to borrrow money to meet the current expenditure of the
Municipality until the taxes are paid
Leave granted and bylaw read a first time
Moved by Jll.r Sisman seconded by Mr Hulse that the bylaw now before
the Council be read a second and third time this day and that rule
33 o~ bylaw fio lo be suspended for that purpose and that the seal of
the Corporation be attached to this resolution
Carried.
Fourteenth Meeting of the Council·
Bylaw read a second time and Council went into committee of the
whole on the same Mr Browning in the chair.
Committee rose and reported bylaw with blanks filled
Bylaw read a third time and passed.
Council adjourned to meet at the call of the Mayor
