The sixth meeting of the Council for 1913 was held in the
Council Room on Monday evening lOth inst the following members
were present; Viz Mayor Baldwin, Reeve Knowles and Councillors
Andrews, Bassett Crockart, Hulse and Sisman, the Mayor in the
chair.
Minutes of the last two meetings read and confirmed.
C-ommunications were received and read from;-
The Semi-ready Homes Company offering to build five houses ready
for occupancy for $3,300 and have them ready for occupancy dn
ten weeks
Professor Herdt in reply to a telegram offering to come to
Aurora and give expert advice in regard to the instilation of
an electric light and power system.

Moved by Mr Bassett seconded by }.~r Sisman that the following accou
nts be paid, that the Mayor issue orders on the Treasurer fior the
same and that the seal of the Corporation be attached ikBxetmx to

Sixth Meeting Continued
An order was received from the Collie Cockerille Manufacturing Comp.
To pay over the amount paid by that Company( One Thousand Dollars )
For the two and one quarter acres of land purchased from the Positive
Clutch and Pulley Works Company to that Company.
Moved by Mr Knowles seconded by Mr Andrews that the Mayor be
and he is hereby authorized and instructed to sign an order in
favour of the Positive Clutch and Pulley Works Company for the sum
of One Thousand Dollars in full payment for two and one auarter
acres of land sold by them to the Collie Cockerille Company, Limited
the same to be charged to the Fifteen Thousand dollars voted by
the ratepayers of this town to the purchase of a site and erect
buildings for the said Collie Cockerile Company, Limited after being
advised to do so by Town Solicitor Mr T. R. Lennox, and that the
seal of the Corporation be attached to thlts resol:~~tion

Moved by Mr Bassett seconded by I.'lr Sisman that the Clerk be
and he is hereby directed to telegraph Professor Rurdt of Montreal
to send his assistant Electrician as soon as possible to meet this
Council re the Electric Light and Power question
Carried.
Moved by Idr Knowles seconded by Mr Hulse that the Mayor Reeve
Xnowles and Councillors Bassett Browning and Andrews be and they
are hereby appointed a Committee to go over the Assessment Roll w
with the Assessor.
Carried.
Moved by Mr Knowles seconded by Mr Andrel'!'s that the Bylaw Committee
be and they are hereby instructed to report a bylaw at the. next
meeting of this Council to amend bylaw No 195 of this council.
Carried.
Leave was asked to introduce a bylaw to appoint an assessor for
Aurora for the year 1913.
Leave granted and bylaw read a first time
Sixth Meeting Continued
Moved by Mr Knowles seconded by Mr Rulse that rule 33 of bylaw
No 10 be suspended and that the bylaw now before the Council be
read a second and third time this day
Carried.
Bylaw read a second time and Council went into committee of the
whole on the same Mr Bassett in the chair.
Committee rose and repoTted the blank filled with the name of
Mr C. A. Petoh.
Bylaw read a third time and passed
Council adjourned to meet at the call of the Mayor.
