THE COUNCIL
The Fourth meeting of the Council for 1913 was held in the Council
Room on Thursday evening January 27th, 1913, the following members
being present Viz Mayor Baldwin, Reeve Knowles and Councillors
Andrews, Bassett, BroWning, Crockart, ind Hulse
The Mayor in the chair.
Minutes of the last two meetings read and confirmed.
A Communuoation was received and read from the Clerk of Barrie
acknowledging the receipt of a communication from the Clerk of this
town Re The Underhills Limited Shoe Company.
Mr William H. Bichard representing the Aurora Electric Light
Company was present and heard regarding the sale of a portion of the
plant of that Company to the Town Mr Birchard B£iB agreeing to take
the sum of Four Thousand Dollars for that pottion of the plant out
side the power house which includes the polls, wiring transformers
and meters &ct.
Moved by Mr Knowles seconded by -"'r dulse that the Offer of the
Aurora Electric J.ight Company to accept the sum of Four Thousand
Dollars for all their equipment outside of the Light Power House
be and the same is hereby accepted by this Council and that the
Electric Light Committee be and they are hereby instructed to prepare
an agreement covering the same and rerort the same at the next meet
ing of this Council and that the sael of the Corporation be attached
to this resolution.

. Moved by Mr Bassett seconded by Mr Browning that the Mayor and
the Electric Light Committee be a committee to visit some towns near
Toronto with a view to ascertaining the working of the Hydro-Electric
p"GWer in such places.

Fourth Meeting Continued.
A communication was received and read re the Assessment of the
town making certain suggestions re the appointment of a committee
to work with the Assessor.
Representatives of the Toronto York and '\adial Railway were heard
regarding the supply of electrical power to the town for domestic
lighting, street lighting and power for the various factories in
Town
The Council then adjourned to meet at the call of the Mayor.
