T R E COUNCIL
The twenty third oeeting of the Council was held in the Council
Room on Monday evening November 20th, the following members being
present;-Viz Mayor Baldwin, Reeve Knowles a.nd Councillors Bond
Bassett, Murray and Staples. The Mayor in the Chair.
Minutes of last meeting read and confirmed.
Mr T. :a, Lennox ana Ilr W, Collis were present and heard regarding
the proposed Tannery and and the form of agreement to be entered into
between the town and Itr Sollie for the advancement of' the $10.000
Voted last January.
b~ Lennox suggested that a committee of' the Council should be formed
to meet himself' and Mr Collis and discuss the oatter more definitely
in order to draft an agreement properly.
Moved by Mr Bond seconded by r.Tr Staples that the following be a comm-
ittee to arraign terns with Mr Collis with reference to the payment
Tannery-Bonus voted last January;-Viz Mayor Baldwin, Reeve Knowles
and Councillors Bassett and Murray.
Carried.
Mr R. W. Fleury was heard and stated that he had been authorized
. by Sir William Iiulock to offer the Town a donation of $3.000 towards
putting th~at portion of Yonge Street lying i~ide the Corporation of'

The work must be done ender the supervision of' the Engineer who has

Bills were received from;-
James Reynolds, Cement
L. Banbury, cement 168.00
Moved by · 1ilr Bassett seconded by mr Murray that the following bills
be paid, James Reynolds, $346,49 and W. L. Banbury $168 if found
correct and eked by Mr Dunham.
Carried.
Twenty third r.ieeting Continued
Leave was asked to introduce a bylaw to regulate ancf license
Cinematograph and moving picture machines and to regulate theatr.ical
exhibitions in this Municipality.
Leave granted and bylaw read a first time.
Moved by ~.:r Knowles seconded by J.:r Bond that the bylaw now before
the Council be read a second time this dajr and that rule 33 of bylaw
no lo be suspended fot that purpose
Carried
Bylaw read a second time and Council went intm Committee of the
whole onth the same Mr Staples in the chair.
Committee rose and reported bylaw and asked leave to sit again.
Council adjourned to meet at the call of the Mayor•
