Minutes of last meeting read and confirmed.
A Petition was received from the residents of Jonge street south
bewteen the Water '.7orks and Kennedy street asking to have that portion
of Yonge "treet oiled also one from the residents of l:osley street
between yonge and ;,'ells street asking to have that portion oiled or
watered.

A deputation of Firemen v;aitea o:m the Council and asked to have
ryednesday July 26th declared a Civic Holiday the date of their
excursion to Niagara Falls.
A petition was received from T. h. Leandxothers asking to have
the sidewal:ij: on Wells street south laid on the:> outside of the trees.
Moved by ::Jr Scrivener seconded by ;,:r Bassett that the r.:ayor issue
a proclamation setting ap:a.rt Wednesday July 26th as a civic holiday
for the Town of .;urora.

I.\r T. H. Lennox and others asking to have the sidewalk on Tells street
ffom Moseley to !.cetcalf street placed on the outside of the trees
be not granted

the Mayor or Chairman of the Road and Bridge Committee

Leave was asked fo introduce a bylaw to provide fo~ oiling certain,
streets in the I:unicipali ty.
Leave granted and Bylaw read a first time.
Moved by Dr Scrivener seconded by Mr Bassett that the bylaw now
before the Council be rear a second ana third time this day and
that rule ~~ of bylaw no IO be suspended for that purpose

Bylaw read a second time and Council went into committee of the
whole on the same Mr Bond in the chair

The committee rose and reporteb Bylaw with blanks filled.
Bylaw read a third time and passed.
Moved by Dr Scrivener seconded by Mr Bassett that the Ilarket com
mittee be and they arehereby instructed to cause the market to be
held on Wednesdat July I9th instead of Thursday July 20th.

Il!oved by Dr Scrivener seconded by Mr Bond that the Clerk be and is
hereby authorized and instructed to advertise for tenders for the sale
of the Cement sidewalk Debentures and the Positive Clutch and Pulley
Works Debentures three times in the Mail and Globe and three times
in the Aurora Banner said tenders to be in the Clerks hands on or
before Saturday July 29th at 8 o'clock in the evening.

Mdlved by Dr Scrivener seconded by Ml! Bond that the Clerk be and
he is hereby authorized and instructed to have the Debentures for the
cement sidewalk and the Positive Clutch and I'ulleybWorks prepared
and printedand hand them to the Treasurer and Mayor for their s:li:gxxb
signatures and that he be also authorized to attach the seal of
the Corporation to said Debentures when completed.
