The fourteenth meeting of the Council was held in the Council Room on Monday Evening June 5th, the following members being present;- Mayor Baldwin, Reeve Knowles and Councillors Bassett, Bond, !llurray Staples, Schrivener and 'Steele, the Mayor in the chair. Minutes of last meeting read and confirmed. A Communication was received and read from the ~a solicitor of The Columbia Powder Co. asking for an extension of time in which to get their plant running here. Also a conmunication from WBEixx£Rrx~rEx Wettlaufer Bros asking the Council send them a cheque for the amount of their account. Bills were received from the following persons;- D. I'ike & Co, cover for cement mixer Samuel George, lumber for cement sidewalk Metropolitan Railway, freight on pipes Aurora Banner, advertising cement sidewalk bylaw $12.50 I24.I3 .50 and Callis By-laws 90.00 Russel Hardware Co, cdment level I.25 Moved by Mr Bassett seconded by r,rr Steelw that the following bills be paid that the I,1ayor issue orders on the treasurer for the same and that the sa.el of the Corporation be attached to this resolution;- :D. The Court of revision for I9II. r,:et in the Council Room on :,Tonday Evening June 8th, the following members being present;-Viz Mayor Baldwin and Councillors Bassett, Bond Scrivener and Staples. mayor Baldwin was elected Chairman. The first appeal heard was that of Tirs Jacob :Peterman, Assessment too high? Appeal-not sustained. the Mr N. A. Ilulloy appealed against k:t:s assessment of his house on !!!pruce "Ctreet as to high. Appeal not sustained. I\Ir WilliarD C. Willis appealed to have the name of his daughter l~arjorie Willis put on the assessment roll as owner of the lot north of his residence. Appeal sustained and the clerk v:as instructed to add the name. The Court then adjourned Sini !ie
