The fifth meeting of the .Council for I9II was held in the Council
Room on Monday evening February !3th, I9II ;-the following members
being present. namely Mayor Baldwin, Reeve Knowles and Councillors
Bond, Bassett, Murray, Dr Scrivener, Staples Saael Steele?

A communication was received and read from Mr Chas Webster resigning
the position of High Scho_ol Trustee to which he was appointed at the
first meeting ~n January.
Also one from Dr McCollough, Secretary of the Provincial Board of
Health regardind the Tuberculosis Exhibit Car which is to visit this
Town on Saturday 25th Inst.
Bills were received and read from the following persons;-
Munioipal World, supplies for Assessor &ct $I5.I6
Bell Telephone Company, rent and conversations
w. H. 1\iatchell, sewer pipe and brick bats

Moved by Mr Bassett seconded by Dr Scrivener that the following bills
be paid, that the Mayor issue orders on the Treasurer for the same
and that the seal of the Corporation be attached to this resolution;-

A deputation consisting of ~~r Ferguson and Mr :Proctor were heard
regarding the building of a Carnagie Library in this Town.
A Deputation consisting of Rev W. Amos/ Chas Baily and Thomas
Griffith were heard who asked for a grant of {:200.00 in aid of the
Public Library •

Moved by Dr Scrivener seconded by ~.:r Bond that the ;,:ayor and
Councillors Scrivener Bassett and Steele be a corr.mittee to confer
with Dr McCollough to assist in making the Tuberclousis Exhibit a
success.
Carried.
Moved by Mr Knowles seconded by !,lr Staples that the Treasurer be
and he is hereby instructed to issue deeds to the persons who purch
ased lots sold at the last tax sale in Aurora.
Carried.
Moved by T,1r Knowles seconded by Mr Staples that the following be a
committee to go over the Assessment Roll with the Assessor;-Namely,
the Mayor, Reeve and Councillor Bassett.
Carried.
Moved by Dr Scrivener seconded by Mr Bassett that the application
of the Public Library Board for a grant of ~200.00 be granted and that
the ~-1ayor be and he is hereby authorized tom Issue an order on the
Treasurer for ~200.00 in favour of the Public Library.
Carried.
Leasve was e.sked to introduce a bylaw to amend bylaw No 328 of
this Municipality.
Leave granted and Bylaw .. read a first time.
Moved by I::r Bassett seconded by Iv:r Bond that the bylaw now before
the Council be read a second and third time this day e.nd that rule 33
of bylaw no IO be suspended for that purpose
Carried.
Bylaw read a second time and council went into committee of the
whole on the same Mr Bomd in the chair.
Committee rose and reported bylaw filled with the name of Al·fred
Love.
Bylaw read a third time and passed
Council adjourned to meet atbthe call of the J,iayor. ~
