· The ninth meeting of the Council was held on Monday evening June 6th,
the following members being present/-Ma.yorv Baldwin, ReeVll Knowles
and Councillors, Brodie, Bassett, Murray, Scrivener, Stevenson and
Towns.

Grand Trunk Railway, re permission to cross railway tracks with
water pipes.
H. L, Kennedy, re sale of land for the extension of Temperance st.
T. H. Lennox, re laying sidewalk on Wells street.
W. T. Andrews and F. A Staples, re straightning creek.
w. T. Muller making application for license for four pool tables.

A petition was received from the residents of Yonge street south to
have that pottion of Yonge street watered or oiled and charge a fron~
age tax for the same.

Committee be and are hereby instructed to build sidewalks on the
outsideof the trees on Wells Street from I;osley to ].J:etcalf and all
other streets w:ere it is possible

Moved by Mr Bassett seconded by Mr Brodie that the following bills
be paid that the Mayor issue orfere on the Treasurer for the same and
that the seal of the Corporation be attached to this resolution;p

Moved by Mr Bassett seco:l).ded by Mr Brodie that tha application of
Mr W. T. Muller for a licnse for four l'ool tables to be situated up
stairs in the Wells Block on Wellington ?treet in this corporation
be granted, that the rate per table be ~IOO,OO per annum payable
half yearly and that the Clerk be and is hereby authorized and instru
cted to issue a License to TEr L:uller in compliance vvi th Bylaw No 5
of this corporation.

Moved by Mr Knowles seconded by Mr Murray that the Road and Bridge
Committee be and they are herby instructed to build a new four foot
sidewalk on the south side of Mousley street from Larmont street east
to Berczy and a four foot crossing at the east end of Mosley street
A four foot crossing on Spruce street opposite Maple street, a three
foot walk on the south side of Wellington from the Grand Trunk track
to the east side of Ross street and along the east side of Ross
street south to Mr Coulters Gate, a four foot walk on the east side
of Victoria street south to Mosley street and thatvsaid walk be laid
west of the trees, and that the seal of the Corporation be attached
to this resolution
