The fifth meeting of' the council for I9IO was held in the Council
Room on Monday Evening April 4th, the following members being present
Mayor Baldwin, Reeve Knowles and Councillors Brodie, Bassett, Murray,
Scrivener, Stephenson and Towns. Thw Mayor in the Chair.
Minutes of last meeting read and confirmed.
The Clerk laid on the table the Auditors report of the Municipal and
School accounts.
Accounts were received from the following persons, Viz;-

Moved by Mr Knowles seconded by :rJr Murray that the Auditors Report of
~Kunicipal and School acc01mts be and the same is hereby received and
adopted that the Clerk be and is hereby instructed to have the same
advertised according to law and that he have IOO copies printed for
distributiom and that the seal of the Corporation be attached to this
resolution.
Carried.
Moved by Mr Murray seconded by Mr Knowles that the Aurora Fire Brigade
be and are hereby granted the use of the Town Park for July Ist for
their annual Sports and that the seal of the Corporation be attached to
this resolution.

Fifth Meeting Continued.
Moved by Mr Bassett seconded by MrBrodie that the following bills
be paid, that the Mayor issue ord·ers on the Treasurer for the same
and that the seal of the Corporation be attached to this resolution.

Moved by Mr Towns seconded by Mr Stephenson that the salary of
Mr C. A. Petch be raised$IOO.OO per annum and that the saal of the
Corporation be attached to this resolution.
Carried.
Moved by Mr Brodie seconed by Mr Bassett that Mr Murray be appoin
ted on the drain Committee in place of Mr T. G. Browning to complete
the drain under construction.
Carried.
Leave was asked to introduce a Bylaw to appoint a supervisor of the
roads , bridges, sidewalks, assistant Constable and ass:ilstant Engineer
Leave granted and bylaw read a first time.
Moved by Mr Bassett seconded by Mr Towns that the bylaw now before
the 6ouncil be read a second and third time this day and that rule 33
of Bylaw No IO be suspended for that purpose.
Carried.
Bylaw read a second time and Council went into committee of the whee
on the same Mr Murray in the chair.
Committee rose and reported bylaw with blanks filled.
Bylaw read a third time and passed.
Council adjourned to meet on Monday Evening April IIth.
