The sixteenth meeting of the town Council was held on Eonday evening
August 2nd I909. Members preswnt being i;Iayor Baldwin, Reeve Knowles,
and 6ouncillors ·Band, Browning, :Delahaye, Hastings and Querrie.
Minutes of last meeting read and confirmed.
il. communication was received from Charles Cameron asking for the
use of the Town park in which to hold a free exhibition and sell patent
medicine.
Bills were received from the following persons, Viz;
Stanley Richards, work on waterworks
James Robertson & Co Pipes for waterworks
Fred Walton, Cedar for streets

The Clerk was instructed verbally to notify rJr Charles Cameron his
request for the use of the Town Park could not bE entertained.
Moved by Mr Hastings Second.ed by !fir Browning that the following
accounts be paid that the r.:ayor issue orders on the Treasurer for
the same and that the seal of the Corporation be attached to this
resolution;

Leave was asked to introduce a By-Law to provide for watering certain
streets.
~eave granted and bylaw read a first time.
}iloved by !ilr Bond seconded by Iir Delahaye that the bylaw now before
the Council be read a second and third time this day and that rule
33 of bylaw Ro IO be suspended for that purpose.
Carried.
Bylaw read a second time and Council went into committee of the
whole on the same Illr Bond in thev chair.
Committee rose and reported bylaw with blands filled.
Bylaw read a third time and passed.
Council adjourned to meet at the call of the lciayor.
