By-Law to authorize the construction of Sanitary Sewers on Tyler Street from
Lot 29, Plan 30 Easterly to George Street, a distance of 435 feet, l!,S a local
improvement under the provisions of The Local Improvement Act.
WHEREAS at least two-thirds in number of the owners
representing at least one half of the value of the lots liable to be specially
assessed and others have petitioned the Council to construct, as a local improvement,
the work hereinafter described, and the Clerk has certified that the petition is
sufficient,
AND VmEREAS it is expedient. to grant the prayer of the l'eti tion
in manner hereinafter provided.
THERE:FORE THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL Ob' THE CORPOR4.TIOlf OF THE TOWN
OF AURORA ENACTS .AS JJOLLOWS:
1. That sanitary sewers, having a sectional area of ten inches, be constructed
on Tyler Street from Lot 29, .l:'lan 30,Aurora, to George Street, to connect with the
sanitary sewer being constructed on Geuoge Street from 'IYler :>treet to ·;;ellington
titreet, as a local improvement under the provisions of 'l.'he Local Improvement Act.
2. That Messrs, Proctor, Redfern & Laughlin be and they are hereby appointed
the Engineers to forthwith make such plans, profiles and specifications and furniSh
such information as m5lf be necessary for the making of a contract for the execution
of the work.
3. The work shall be carried on and executed under the superintendence and
a~cording to the directions and orders of such engineers,

4. The ~~yor and Clerk are authorized to cause a contract for the construction ~ . r
of the work to be made and entered into with some person or persons, firm or· corporation,
subject to the approval of this council to be declared by Resolution.
5. The Treasurer may agree with any bank or person for temporary advances of
money to meet the cost of the work pending the completion of it.
s. The special assessment shall be paid by twenty annual instalments.

7. Tha debentures to be· issued for the loan to be effected to pay for
the cost of the work when completed shall bear interest at such rate as the
Council ma;y determine and be made payable within twenty years on the instalment
'
plan.
s. Any person whose lot is specially assessed ~ commute for a P8¥ment
in cash the special rates imposed thereon by paying the portion of the cost

of construction assessed upon such lot, without the interest, forthwith. after
the special assessment roll has been certified by the Clerk, and at any time
thereafter by the payment of such sum as when invested at four percent, per annum
will provide an annuity suffidient to pey the special rates fOr the unexpired
portion of the term as they fall due.
