Town ·of .Aurorao A BY-LAW TO PROVIDE BDR THE SUBMISSION OF A CER'l'AIN QU.ESTION IDR THE ASSE!UJT OF THE QUALIFIED ELECTORS OF •J:Hf~ TOWl~ OF AURORA, AND TO APPOINT A DAY ON WHICH T6 TAKE A VOTE THEREON, Al'ID.TO NAME THE PLACES WHERE THE VOTES ARE TO BE TAKEN, Al1D TO APPOINT DEPUTY RETUR~ING OFFICERS TO TAKE THE VOTES AT EVERY SUCH PLACE: WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Aurora deems it advisable to submit to the vote of the electors of the Corporation qualified to vote on money By-laws, a question as to whether the said electors are in favour of erecting, at this time, a new publici school. NOW THEREBDRE THE l'lflJNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATIOl'l OF THE TOWN OF AURORA ENACTS AS BDLLOWS: 1. That the following question be submitted to the electors of the Corporation qualified to vote on money by-laws, that is till say: -"Are you in favour of of the erection of a new public • 2. That the votes of the said electors on the said question shall be taken at the s!jJJ!e "time and at the same places as at the next annual election for the Municipal Council and by Deputy Returning Officers and Poll .,{·J· . ~a./'-. Clerks appointed to take the vote at the next annual election. A statement of the said question, and the notice re- quired by Section 280 af The Municipal Act shall be published in the following newspaper on the d~s hereinafter mentioned, that is to s~: In the Aurora Banner, a newspaper published in the Town of Aurora, on the Fourteenth, ~nenty-first and Twenty-eighth days of November, 1946. - 2 - 4, On the i~ay of December, 1946, at the hour of eleven O'clock in the forenoon, the Mayor of the said Corporation, or some member of the said Council appointed for that purpose by resolution, shail attend at the Council Chamber in the said Mruaicipality and, if requested so to do, shall appoint in writing signed by him, two persons to attend at the final summing up of the votes of the Clerk, and one person to attend at each polling pl~e on behalf of the persons voting in the affirmative on the said question, and a like number on behalf of the persons voting in the negative on the said question. 5, The Tenth day of December, 1946, at the Town Clerk's Office in,the said Municipality, at the hour of eleven o'clock in the forenoon, is hereby appointed as the' time and place for summing up by the poration of the number of Votes given ~n the affirmative and respectively on such question, Clerk of this Cor-n. ~ in the negative, ,~ "-._ FINALLY PASSED AND E£Ji1CTED this Lj day of November, 1946.
