l. !Phat the ulunicipal Corporation of the Town of Aurora
• lease to Charles William Stollery the Mechanics' Hall, situate at the
corner of Mosley and Victoria Streets, on the term,. and conditions set
forth in Indenture of lease dated the 20th day of March, 1946, and that
the 4ayor and Glerk be and they are authorized and directed to execute
and deliver to the said Charles William Stollery the said Indenture of
lease.

MARKING OF THROUGH'HIGHWAYS
under the authority of clause_£_ of subsection·3 of section 39 or The
Highway Traffic .Act the Department hereby makes the following regulations:
1. . (1) Signs· shall be erected and maintained at th.e approaches to every
interse?tion of a through highway, except intersections where
signal light traffic control systems are maintained,
(2) .A· sign In a built-up area shall be placed not more than six feet
from the curb or trave1led portion of the intersecting highway

and .. on the right hand side thereof racing traffic approaching the
through highway and not less than fifteen feet nor JllOre than fifty
·feet from the curb or travelled. portion or the through highway and
1ts bottom· edge· shall not be less than six feet nor more than eight
feet above •the level Of the travelled portion Of the highWa/',
,A ·sign in the open country· shall be placed not more than ten _feet,
from ·the curb or. travelled port;!on,of the.intersecting highway and
on the right hand side thereof racing traffic approaching the through
higtway and. not less. than fi rteen feet nor more than fifty feet from
the curb or travelled portion of the through highway and its bottom
edge shalLnot be less than two feet nor more than rour feet above
the travelled portion or the intersecting highway.
Where conditions at an intersection make the placing of signs in
accordance wHh subregnlations 2 and 3 impractical, signs shall be
placed so as to comply as.nearly as possible w1th·such·subregulations.
MUNICIPAL SIGHS
·2, (1) Signs erected at approaches t,O through highways designated as such by
municipal bylaw· shall be placed so as to be visible at all times for
a distance of at least·200 feet,
(2) Signs· shall be· square or octagonal and have an area not less than four
squ~;.re feet,
(3) Signs ·shall display' the-words. •Stop• and •Through Street• or "Through
Highway".
(4) The letters of the wora •sTOP• shallnot' be less than eight inches in
height and one and one~quarter inches. in width painted in black block
letters on a white .or yellow background outlined or delineated by r·e·-
flecting materials on <>-black background.
, (5) The letters qf the. words "THROUGH HIGHWAY• or. "THROUGH' STREET" ·shall not
be less than three and one~h.alt inches in height and one-half inch in
width painted in. black block letters on a white or yellow background.

3. ·Signs erected by the Department at intersections or the iKing• s Highway· shall
comply with these regulations or 8uch othe.r standards with respect to· size,
shape, wording, colour aiH\ position as may from time to time be approved. by
the Chief. Engineer of the Department,
EXISTiNG DEPARTM.ENTH REGOUT IONS REVOKED •
.. All .regulations heretofore made under the authority of tl)e above mentioned "p~.ovisions of The Hi,ghway Traffic Act in force at the date qf the coining into force
of these regulations are revoked. ·
