'!llhe thirtieth meeting of the Council was held in the Council room
on Monday evening Oct. 4th.
All the members being present. The Mayor in the chair.
The minutes of the previous meeting \vere read and adopted.
Acommunication was received from Sir John S.Hendrie Lieut.Govener
re an appeal through the Empire,by street and other collections,on
the twenty first day of Oct next.

C. L. Gulley re box for ringing the Town bell.
E. Saunders Goverment report of License Fund.

accounts be paid and that the Mayor issue orders on the Treasurer
for the same and that the seal of the Corporation be attached to

Moved by Mr Bassett seconded by Mr Hulse that the action of the
Mayor in issueing orders on the Treasurer for the payment of the
following bills be and the same is hereby confirmed and that the
seal of the Corporation be attached to this resolution.

Leave was asked to introduce a By_law to amend By..:.law No 412.
Leave granted and By-law read a first time.
Moved by Mr Hancock Seconded by Mr Andrevrs that the By-law now
before the Council be read a second and third time this day and
that Rule 33 of By-law No 10 be suspended for that purpose.
Carried.
