TIIENTIETH MEETING OF THE COUNCIL FOR 1 9 1 5 -------------~--------~---------------------------L
The twentieth meeting of the Council was held in the Council room on
Munday evening May 17th.
The follo;iing members were present namely:-Mayor Baldwin. Reeve
Knowles. Councillors Andrews. Bassett. Hulse, Hancock, and Murray.
The Mayor in the chair.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed,
L Communicitations -were received and read from Mr. John McMahon
offering the Ci tezens of the 'Town a Lot on Fleury Street 158t x 360
feet for a Public Park on certain conditions.
From the Hydro Electrie Power Commission re Electric Wiring.
From Mr. R. R. Matson re Service connections.
The Imperial Oil Company re sale of road oil.
Lintz Porter Company re Typhoon Siren Whistle for fire alarm.
James, Loudon,& Hertzberg Engineers,good road system on Wellington
Street.
Bills were received from the follo1dng persons namely:-

Moved by Mr. Hancock seconded by Mr. Bassett that the foili:lowing
accou-nts be paid and that the Mayor issue orders on the Treasurer for
the same and that the seal of the Corporatdton be attached to this
resolution,

Mayor in issuing orders on the Tree.surer for the payment of the following
Blhl:j!lsratieud the same is hereby confirmed and that the seal of' the
Corporation be attached to this resolution.

Moved by Mr. Knowles seconded by Mr. Murray that the communication
from Mr.. John McMahon be refered to the Property Committee to report
at the next meeting of this Council.
Carried.
Moved by Mr. Bassett seconded by Mr. Hancock that the Watenwrks
committee be and they are hereby authorised and instructed to purchase
seven new fire alarm boxes and have the same installed in connection
vri th the new bell purchased some time ago, and the seal of the Corp-
oration be attached to this resolution.
Carried.
Moved by Mr. Kr1o1iles seconded by Mr. Murray that the Mayor and
Clerk be and they are hereby instructed to sell the large boiler and
other machinery at the Waten10rks for the best. price they can get,
and that the sec.l of the COrporation be attached to this resolution.
Carried.
Leave was asked to introduce a by-law to appoint a Court of
Revision to revise the J\ssessment Roll.
Leave was granted and byJlaw was read a first time.
Moved by Mr,· Bassett seconded by Mr, Hulse that the by -law novr
before the council be read a second and third time this day and that
rule 33 vf by-J..aVI Nv. 10 te suspended for that purpose. Carried.

whole Mr.Hancock in the chair.
Committe rose and reported blanks fiL.ed vrith the names of
Councillors Murray, J\ndrews. and Bassett.
