T W E N T I E T H M E E T I N G 0 F THE COUB«IL
F 0 R 1 9 1 4.
The Twanthieth meeting of the Town council was held in the
council Chamber on Monday evening, November 23rd, the following
Members being present, Mayor Baldwin, Reeve Knowles, councillors
Bassett, crockart, coulter, Murray and sisman.
Minutes of last two meetings read and confirmed.
The following communications were received and read.
From, Major Dennison of the Governor Generals Body Guard
re grant for the maintance of the camp south of this town.
From, City of Berlin, re memorial to Government regarding
revenue from public utilities.
From, Hydro Electric Power commission, re appointment of
Inspector.
From, Collie-Leather company, re employment of outside
labor.
From, Department of public Heath, Toronto, re "light weight
tread"
The following accounts were received:-

following accounts be paid and that the Mayor issue orders on the
Treasurer for the payment of same and that the seal of the cor-
poration be attached to this resolution.

Moved by w. J. Bassett, seconded by w. J. sisman that
councillors Murray, coulter and Crockart be a committee to find
out what it would cost to have two signs placed along side the
G. T. Railway tracks for the purpose of advertising the town,
said committee to report at the next meeting of the council.

Moved by w. J. Bassett, seconded by w. J. coulter that
the action of the clerk in handing the collectors Roll to the
Collector on or about the 15th day of october be and the same is
hereby confirmed and that the seal of the Corporation be attached
to this resolution.
CARRIED.
Moved by w. J. Knowles seconded by A· Murray that the Clerk
be and he is hereby instructed to advertise for tendersby poster
and in the Banner for 50 toise of stone to be delivered in Aurora
as directed by Mr. Dunham, town foreman, tenders to be in by
December 7th, 1914 and that the seal of the Corporation be attached
to this resolution.

Leave was asked to introduce a Bylaw to appoint a COLLECTOR
for the Town of Aurora for the year 1914.
Leave granted and bylaw read a first time.
Moved by Mr. Bassett seconded by }Hr. Crockart that the bylaw
now before the council be read a second and third time this day and
that Rule 33 of Bylaw No. 10, be suspended for that purpose.
CARRIED.
By-law read a second time and council went into committee of
the whole on the same. Mr. sisman in the chair.

By-law read a third time and passed,
Leave was asked to introduce a By-law to assess for Town
purposes, county purposes, &c.
Leave granted and by-law read a first time.
Moved by Mr. Bassett seconded by }~. crockart that the

this day and that Rule 33 of ~ylaw No. 10 be suspended for that

Municipal nomination for 1915.
Leave granted and Bylaw read a first time.

Bylaw now befo:pe the Council be read a seoonil. and third time this
day and that Rule 33 of Bylaw No. 10, be suspended for that

Leave was asked to introduce a Bylaw to borrow $8,000 by
issuing oebentures on the credit of the corporation when the
ascent of the electors is obtained.
Leave granted and Bylaw read a first time.

Bylaw now before the council be read a second ano. third time this
day and that Rule 33 of Bylaw No. 10, be suspended for that

Leave was asked to injroduce a proposed bylaw to borrow
$8,000 by issuing debentures on the Town for the same. $3,000 for
payment of balance due on electric pumps and installation of same
and $5,000 for balance due for the installation of the electric
light system.
