EIGHTEENTH MEETING OF

THE COUNCIL
The eighteenth meeting of the council for 1914 was held on
Wednesday evening October 7th, the following members being present:-
namely; Mayor Baldwin, Reeve Knowles and councillors Bassett,
crockart, coulter, Murray and Sisman.
The following communications were received and read.
oollie-oockerill Company, re payment of their debenture.
Mrs • R· Do.dds re account for keep of Mr. E. King' a Child.
R· N• Bell, Captain of the Civilians Rifle club on behalf
of the Club asking for free electric light for the use of the club.
An account was presented by Geo. T. Browning for building
retaining »xi wall for Yonge street bridge for $30,00
An account was presented for the town against the High
School Board for cement walk amounting to $48.96
Moved by w. J. Bassett, seconded by James crockart that the
request of the Aurora Rifle Association asking for free electric
light for their shooting gallery be granted and that the seal of
the corporation be attached to this resolution. CARRIED·
p,~oved by W• J• Bassett, seconded by Mr• coulter that the
Mayor, Reeve and councillors Murray, Sisman be a committee to
confer with the Climax container company, re their coming to
Aurora and report to this council as soon as possible. CARRIED·
